Honestly, a somewhat boring experience. The hotel lives up to the pictures and the staff is really nice and friendly, but:
We booked the hotel fully aware that it was a bit “isolated,” as we were simply in need of peace, quiet, and relaxation. With that in mind, we chose a hotel with a good restaurant, since we knew there weren’t many options nearby and we just wanted to swim, relax, and mostly enjoy ourselves at the hotel.
However, the restaurant is completely unacceptable.
As an example, they list 20–30 beers on the menu, including draft beer. In reality, they have 3–4 beers and no draft beer system at all.
They have two soft drinks to choose from—nothing sugar-free, nor a Fanta or similar.
Every day when you ask, you’re told that it’s “just sold out.”
We’ve been here for 10 nights now, so that clearly isn’t true.
There are 4 ice creams on the menu—they have 2.
There are 3 smoothies on the menu. They only have 1. Simple things like Strawberry and Banana is not available.
We have yet to order food without being told, “sorry, we don’t have that.”
We’ve even experienced this with simple items like french fries, spaghetti, and avocado.
Nothing changes from one day to the next. They simply don’t restock items when they’re missing.
In the end, we had enough and requested to be moved to another Voco hotel, so they wouldn’t “lose the money,” for everyone’s benefit.
