« Have holidayed in Hatepe for forty years so have rented many properties. Enjoyed the lake side position, the open fire and comfortable furnishings. There was only one extra blanket for the beds for my grandchildren who had come to NZ from 30 + degrees . Thanks owners for letting your property. I nursed with Di North in PN Hospital many years ago when we trained and Dr North was Med Superintendent? ( or have wrong family)?? »

« Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were quite a few gaps. There were no instructions for the fire and when we arrived it was on. However after about an hour it went out on its own. The backup heater didn’t work so our first night was somewhat freezing. No reply from the Bachcare despite 3 tries and we finally managed to get it working ourselves by turning the mains power off to reset. No soap in the bathroom, not enough pillows. No vegetable peeler and the cleaning in the kitchen was pretty...

« Second year in a row that we've stayed here for Labour Weekend. Was peaceful and quiet, ideally located for a range of activities nearby. Kids enjoyed gathering dead wood for the outdoor firepit, played boardgames into the evening, enjoyed the view of Ruapehu while sitting outside. Gorgeous location. »

« We all had a great time. Bach was simple but lovely, a true old school kiwi lake bach. Our girls 6 & 8 had a blast and spent most of the time in the water. Whareroa is a Absolute hidden gem. We will be back. Thanks again, Sim & kay. »

« The apartment was a bit smaller than it looked in the photos, however it was very clean and within walking distance of the town centre which was great. Additionally, having an off road parking space was really useful. The downside was the noisy neighbours, particularly the upstairs neighbours who were loud throughout the night making it difficult to get a good nights sleep. »

« Great place to stay, with everything one would need. Very cosy and the shower is good unlike a lot of places in Ohakune. »

« Hôtel à fuir absolument, le bâtiment comme les chambres sont en ruine, le chauffage HS, la salle de bain dans un état déplorable....Sans parler du bruit des camions qui passent nuit et jour, l'hôtel étant très proche de la route. »
