Telegraph Cove was established in 1912 as old sawmill town that had deteriorated to the point where everything had to be restored and rebuilt. Today, an eight hundred foot long boardwalk and dock surround the old village. Telegraph Cove is tucked away on the eastern coast of Northern Vancouver Island. This tiny picturesque and historical village is a major destination during the summer months when the snug little bay bustles with whale watchers, fishermen, boaters, campers and kayakers. Telegraph Cove has a rich and colourful past and is one of the last boardwalk settlements left on Vancouver Island. The Resort at the village has a large variety of accommodations from cozy cabins and historic homes to modern condominium suites. (September 2019)
