New Zealand State Highway 43 is also known as the Forgotten World Highway. Built on colonial horse trails formed in the late 19th century, the highway is remote and mysterious. The highway spans 149 km between Stratford and Taumarunui. There are hardly any services along the highway, and no gas pumps, but the views along the road as it climbs up and down three different mountain saddles are amazing!

« The house is perfect for extended family looking for a place to stay near the snow mountain. It is well-equipped with basic needs for cooking, washing and entertainment.
