« I loved the quiet, the charm & character of the 1940s building, the collection of antique medical objets & historic local photos. It was cosy and a comfortable warmth thanks to the central radiator heating throughout. I was definitely not too hot in my room. Very clean & all the facilities that I needed - access to a large freezer & a bath was a welcome added bonus also. Lovely grounds. Very friendly, helpful & welcoming service from the manager Shontal. »

« Not as we imagined. Thinking a guesthouse as in the title thought would be welcoming…. Said breakfast included, it isn’t. You get 1 v small milk carton and teabags. Prob great for a group but squashed dead insects on the door of the loo, dust behind the doors and just felt like staying at a grandmas house without the welcoming grandma….we sent a message to the owner on arrival as a lock safe entry and 2 days later no response. Up to you but not for us, disappointed »

« Nous avions beaucoup hésité avant de réserver car il était situé un peu loin de notre destination. Nous n’avions pas eu vraiment le choix, les autres logements ne nous convenaient pas. SURPRISE MAGNIFIQUE. Une vue époustouflante, de belles chambres, une cuisine et une salle de bain 🚽 neuve, un grand salon aux fauteuils confortables. Tellement calme. »

« What’s fantastic person the owner, Cheryl is!! Friendly and helpful!! She’d double booked so she gave us her whole house to use!! The property was very well maintained and even came with a semi tame weka!! (A NZ ground bird) A cereal breakfast, milk, yoghurt and filter coffee we’re left for us!! Even the wifi was strong!! The rooms and bathroom were very comfortable and I would fully recommend this motel. I would love to stay again even though I’d get a much smaller room!! »
