Narrow path along a ditch. The public footpath leading along here links Rectory Road > 1774113 in the village of Dicklebury with Lonely Road in the hamlet of Dickleburgh Moor, further to the north-east. The path leads past the sewage works > 1774572 following the course of meandering ditches > 1774581 between cultivated fields.

All Saints church in Dickleburgh. The 13th century tower of All Saints church > 1774225 adjoins a heavily restored nave and chancel and most of the interior dates from the 19th century, when the clerestory and most of the church windows were repaired, the box pews removed and a new east window > 1774253 installed. The Jacobean pulpit > 1774239 remained, as did the original baptismal font > 1774291 and the rood screen panels survived also. They are very unusual in that they contain many expertly executed small carvings depicting dragons, green men, angels, devils, a monk playing the pipes, sheep, a cat with kittens > 1774245 - pigs, dogs, birds, fish and a fox dragging a goose by its neck, including red specks of the goose's blood > 1774249.

Proximity to the train station is quite nice and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel because the room itself was not well maintained. There was black mould growing in the shower because it wasn’t properly sealed. I also couldn’t find a pillow that was very comfortable. ...

A wonderfully quirky cottage, but with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen; some of the comfiest beds I've slept in; big sofas for lounging on and a landlord who's quick to reply to questions. Ideal for a family - bedrooms are adjoining. Thoroughly recommended.
