We had a booking to stay here on August 19th. Due to severe weather conditions, the main road from Amritsar to the hotel was closed, leaving us unable to reach on time. We contacted the property well in advance of the check-in date to request a refund, but the manager showed no empathy or willingness to help. Despite Expedia trying to mediate on our behalf, the hotel refused to approve even a partial refund.
As a Gold Member with Expedia who has stayed at countless hotels worldwide, I have never encountered such a lack of understanding and customer care. Every reputable property I’ve visited until now has recognized that unforeseen events beyond a guest’s control require compassion and flexibility. Unfortunately, this hotel chose profit over basic hospitality.
If this is the attitude of the management before arrival, I would be very concerned about the care and service one can expect during their stay. Travelers deserve respect, fairness, and empathy — sadly, this was not the case here. I would strongly discourage choosing this hotel if you value genuine hospitality and customer-first service.
