« Great place to get away from life »

« The lodge was perfect for us (5 in total). It was very well furnished (very comfortable beds and settee) and the kitchen had all the utensils needed. The owner was very quick to answer our messages. The lodge is very well positioned to go onto the coast path east and west - only 10 or 15 mins walk to it on lanes that are limited to 20 or 30 mph. The lodge is also only 15 mins drive to Salcombe, with an easy long stay car park. The owner recommended the Salcombe crab fest, which was a great day...

« Johnny is a great host with a lovely place. Comfy beds, nice hot tub, clean and modern decor, gorgeous views, and easy walks to the beach and the pub. Highly recommended! »

« Had a really comfortable stay, chalet was clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Location was perfect for getting about every where we wanted and Dartmouth harbour was 7 mins away in the car. My only criticism and it’s not really of any concern is that the outside lacks curb appeal and gives you a wrong first impression as the inside is fine for what it is. »

« The place is surface level clean but if you end up having to move furniture e.g because you drop something behind the bedside table, it’s quite dirty. That’s just one example, inside the cleaning cupboard, if you need a broom for example, again, dirty. The electric meter cost way more than the estimates provided. Please note that we stayed in the cold month of December. We never really got it toasty warm like with central heating. The electric meter had a momentary blip where it would keep...

« It's a real shame because the chalet has potential. But there is no investment/maintenance of it. The toilet is plagued with mould. There is nearly no storage so if you go for longer than a weekend, it is a challenge to have to live out of bags. The chalet seems to be one of the only ones that has not been painted recently. There are broken lamps and drying racks that had not been disposed of. The kitchen tap is worryingly loose and the fire alarm was left next to the microwave. No carbon...
