« Overall a lovely stay. I missed the fact that there was no table and could not sort out the coffee machine. Loved that it was pet friendly but this was too evident in the back yard so could not let my pup out to enjoy it. To be fair it had been a long winter with unusual high snowfall that had just melted so spring cleanup maybe had not happened. »

« Fantastic place to stay (seven of us in total) while we visited family in nearby Cambridge, NY. The owner was incredibly friendly and proactively checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and equipment to make cooking meals at home easy to do. Easy to get to the stores we needed and bring groceries into the house. The back porch (entrance) was enjoyable as well when the weather permitted us to sit outside and relax. Really enjoyed...

« South Shire is a quaint Victorian Inn on Elm Street within walking distance to the center of Bennington, VT. The Inn has a family feel and elegance. We traveled as a couple. It was easy to get to sites and enjoy fine restaurants. The Inn is in keeping with the feel of strength of the Bennington community, as a place for artists, musicians, and people's expression generally to thrive. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend South Shire. »
