« It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home. Antique furniture, pines cones, snowshoes, layered bedding...like in an LLBean catalog. The bed was super comfy. I had a large screen TV and mini fridge in the room. Although there is a...

« A cozy little cabin in the Adirondacks! It was a great base for our explorations, and a lovely place to rest when we weren't adventuring! The wooden ADK chairs on the sunny porch and relaxing hammock were favorite spots! Touches like having games, walking sticks, and even a guitar available made it feel like home. Our host was responsive with communication, and all the information and suggestions throughout were very thoughtful. Will keep this on our list of favorites! »

« This property and our stay were wonderful! Hosts, Bonnie and Steve, have covered all the bases and taken care of all the details. The area is beautiful, as only the Adirondack's can be.Communication was very easy with the hosts, and they go out of their way to make things easy and pleasurable without being intrusive. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and well stocked with all necessities. Beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, hot water on-demand for nice showers. Furnishings and decor...

« The cabin wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to be. There was mud and dirt on the futon and the floors and the vacuum that was there did not work well. Also the shower didn’t drain well because the pitch of the floor slanted the wrong way so you stood in water the whole time while showering. But other than that it was okay. »

« Was the best place I've stayed at in Caroga Lake so far. For larger families, it's great with 3 bedrooms, and large bunks in 2 of them. It was awesome having a full and half bath! That's rare in that area. The downstairs was spacious, just a short walk to the dock, plenty of dishware, the fire pit was nice, the porch and hammock were great, it was quiet, and it's located by the local stores and gas station. No issues with water or septic at all, and home was very clean, and being able to wash...

« Great vibes and great views. Peaceful, art-filled space for a lovely weekend alone. Comfortable bed. I spent a lot of time on the screened in patio watching the lake. Quiet street, perfect for walking or biking. »

« 1890s Elegant mansion with great bones and almost completely restored. Pool would be big plus in summer and game room definitely a plus, though some equipment needed repair. Great location for our short family reunion of 6 adults and 3 tweens. Would worry about kids less than 10 or limited mobility folks as stairs quite tight or spirally and high. Does have first floor bedroom but a bit of distance to the single well appointed bath on that floor. Kitchen quite well equipped and even had a wide...

« Small commode, very thin tp. No linens for extra sleeping areas in the loft or pull out couch. No backup for power outages, we experienced this. We had a good stay otherwise & overall enjoyed the rustic cabin. »

« Very clean, private setting. Pet friendly. Enjoyed the pool and front porch! Beds were very comfortable, but the first-floor bed with the Jack and Jill ensuite was too high for seniors to climb into. I traveled with my 87-year-old mother and 94-year-old aunt; they had to use the upstairs bedroom with the lower queen mattress. Great place for a larger party. »

« The host always responded quickly with questions we had. The house was clean and spacious, accommodating our family of 13. The grandkids enjoyed the game room and everyone enjoyed pickle ball in the garage. It was a peaceful, tranquil spot. There was plenty to do a rainy day. There are also local hiking trails and lakes in the area.It was a memorable family weekend. »

« The cabin is exactly as advertised. We love the natural wood and adorable decor. The kitchen and laundry are well equipped and convenient. The bed and bath linens are good quality. It was everything we were looking forward to, and the relaxing flow of the Sacandaga River was exactly what we needed to unwind from work and other stress. We chose this location because we have family in Gloversville and Broadalbin, so it was convenient for them to visit us here. Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the...

« My family had a great time here. We loved the beach and fishing from the dock. »

« The house was perfect for our girls trip getaway. The number of beds/bedrooms, to the newly renovated beautiful bathrooms and the fully functioning beautiful kitchen it was exactly what we were looking for. We loved the added touches like the heated towel wracks and the fancy toilets as well as the pull down projector screen for a movie. We used all the amenities the house had to offer. The hot tub was clean and hot and the easy check out was just what we needed for a fun weekend with friends....

« The cabin is located in a very quiet area. We enjoyed our solitude surrounded by nature. The highlight was the bird and frog songs, especially at dusk. Sitting on the deck, we could hear 4 types of frogs (tree frog, green frog, bull frog and peeper) plus several birds. It was very enjoyable. The walk from the cabin along the road up north is beautiful. There were tons of bright orange salamanders at dusk. We also enjoyed hiking several trails nearby (in Ferris Lake Wilderness Area). The cabin is...

« Nice, winter cabin vibes at the bear lodge. A few mins walk to the dock where we dipped on the lake. »

« Great spot, Larry was very attentive. Food next door was delicious, really wish the Wi-Fi was more stable made calling and messages to our family difficult but outside of that 5 stars »
