« The was a very comfortable and cozy hotel. I had a great time here. I found it impeccably clean, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance from the downtown shopping area, but still pretty quiet. There is a lovely lounge and bar area that is very comfortable and welcoming. The shower worked very well too. I would love to stay here again! »

« Hôtel facilement accessible à pied (il faut garer la voiture non loin sur un parking). Notre chambre se situait malheureusement pour nous juste au dessus du bar, nous y avions séjourné un week-end donc quand le bar est également ouvert. Les murs laissent passer tout le bruit de la rue et du bar et ce jusqu’à minuit. Petit déjeuné très copieux et très bon, service hyper sympa et serviable. Chambres spacieuses. »

« Withi-Gill was a beautiful cottage in a remarkable landscape -- views of Hoy and Graemsay were beautiful (when the weather cooperated, which was most days), and with a short walk, views of much of the western part of Mainland Orkney, including Stromness. The facilities were great, and the cottage was well-equipped for our needs. There's access to a small beach across the road and down a short track along the former millrun. « This was a pleasant cottage with parking in front. It was nicely decorated and beds were very comfortable.It was five minutes from a co-op food shop which opens seven days a week 7 am to 10 pm. Almost opposite the bus station and a two minute walk to the ferry. Bike hire is available in Stromness. And we had a great day taking the ferry over to hoy, cycling to Rackwick Bay and walking to see the old man of hoy sea stack. The cottage includes a small washing machine which we did use (only...

« This location was a great place to stay to explore Orkney. We loved the isolated and peaceful area. Plenty to do and see if you are prepared to drive a few miles. Spectacular cliff top walks with an abundance of bird life. The accommodation has everything you need for a self catering holiday. We stocked up with everything we needed from Tesco in Kirkwall after getting off the ferry. »

"We really enjoyed Catriona's house.Beautiful location, despite a few cars parking in front of the house.The house is well-equipped and very pleasant.At the beginning of our stay, we had some difficulty adjusting the heating, but this problem was resolved thanks to Catriona's advice.Thank you, Catriona."
