« Blue Jay cottage is a quaint, lovely cottage. The hosts were very responsive whenever we had a question and the cottage had everything we needed. The setting was perfect, right on the water with access for our kayak and paddleboard. Easy access to Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and Bridgewater. They had lots of little extras, in case we forgot anything, like chargers, condiments and all of the necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! »

« Place was really spacious, amazing living spaces and out of this world views. Access to kayaks was a great treat. Enjoyed location just outside of Lunenburg and lots to do. Unfortunately weren’t able to get the TV to work and some appliances were finicky to get operating though nothing that would keep us from coming back. « Certainly not your typical soulless empty purpose built rental. Jan & George have filled their unique little space with interesting items. We spent three nights and every day noticed something else to look at. The wildlife is incredible, hummingbirds, fish, squirrels, it’s obvious they’re very fond of the property and their humans. The power was out for most of our stay - not their fault, it affected the whole region - but the wood stove, the propane stovetop, and wood-fired hot tub meant we could still enjoy all the things!
