Grande moustiquaire mais un petit bemol, le plafond de la moustiquaire en coton annule l'effet du ventilateur. Grande douche, linge de toilette confortable, suffisamment d'espace pour installer les produits de toilette. Entrée un peu sombre. Neanmoins jolie deco, personnel souriant. « Lovely, helpful staff and a great location, right by the water where you look down on everyday life, dhows, donkeys and all. Quiet garden with pool and sunloungers. Excellent rooftop restaurant. 30 minute walk to Lamu or short boatride. Large, traditional rooms so don't expect TVs. »

« I reserved and paid back in October. When we arrived on Jan 11 -- we were told that our reservation was cancelled. In fact they were hosting a wedding - and cancelled our reservation without any warning. They proposed a disgusting replacement hotel (one-star backpacker hotel) which was 30€ per night rather than the 90€ per night we paid. We wasted 2 hours of limited time in beautiful Lamu. They refused to reimburse us and refused to send an email confirming that they cancelled a paid reservation...

« We had a lovely 9 day stay at the one way house. The house is simply stunning and very well maintained and clean. Michael- the chef- made us beautiful breakfasts and dinners. It’s impossible to choose a favorite dish but his curries are world class and biryani a MUST have. Paul helped us navigate Lamu. He is the man about about town. Ensures that we got our boat captain, walked us to catch our boat for day trips. Lamu town offers an authentic sense of the rich culture. Just an overall amazing...

« Every bedroom, gathering space, and lounging area throughout the house (inside and out) is comfortably appointed and thoughtfully designed. The staff of the house are warm, inviting, and exceptionally professional. We loved the location along the water - close access for beach walks and shopping, yet plenty of quiet and privacy while still steps away from activity. Forodhani House is a very special place and our group was honored by our experience! »

"I reserved and paid back in October. When we arrived on Jan 11 -- we were told that our reservation was cancelled. In fact they were hosting a wedding - and cancelled our reservation without any warning. They proposed a disgusting replacement hotel (one-star backpacker hotel) which was 30€ per night rather than the 90€ per night we paid. We wasted 2 hours of limited time in beautiful Lamu. They refused to reimburse us and refused to send an email confirming that they cancelled a paid reservation (I went to see them 2 times). AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS - THEY HAVE ZERO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. If you book with them (Expedia should remove them from their list) - you risk losing your reservation and being in a position last minute to find an alternative. Luckily we found a beautiful AirBNB (Andavelo) very last minute who were incredible!"
