« The hotel was clean, warm but dated. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The fact that there was no restaurant meant no meal or breakfast but the staff advised me of lovely alternatives. I believe the hotel has just changed hands so probably just getting things organised and i hope it works for them. »

« Nice place with ever-present owners bending over backwards to help in any way possible. The rooms are comfortable with basic amenities and coffee, tea and similar available. I particularly liked the well equipped shared kitchen and the lounge. Above all, the view from the inn is stunning. Note that it is in a peaceful and quiet area with very little in the way of local amenities, although Lerwick is only a short drive away. « We had a wonderful stay at the Voortrekker apartment. It had everything you would need and amazing views. The hot tub was much welcomed after a day of walking. Nikki and Piet were really welcoming and helpful. We hope to go back one day. »

« The property is immaculate and beautiful, very comfortable with fabulous views. Location is great for exploring by car or on foot. Niki and Piet are really excellent hosts, very accommodating and great to talk to. The sauna and hot tub are fabulous too. We had such an enjoyable holiday, some highlights included getting married in Lerwick, a boat trip to Mousa and visiting the broch, exploring the Jarlshof site and walking across to St Ninians and walking around the island. 10/10! »
