« The property was 10/10, hot tub overlooking the lake, stocked firewood, lots of kids activities to offer. The only downfall was my dad had a very difficult time getting to the bathroom in his wheelchair, the hallways and bathroom very tight to be classified as “wheelchair accessible” The ramp is doable with assistance up and the entrance was very wide with open floor plan through the living room and into the kitchen. If staying and in a wheelchair, you may be struggle a bit. »

« We were lucky to find Big Timbers for our Itasca State Park weekend. The location is ideal being right across the street from the North entrance. The rooms perfect size for a small family or couple. Everything was new and clean and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We loved the ice cream and pizza from the store on site. »

« Cutie little cabins in the woods »

« Booked the property only a week before our visit. Super convenient access to the north entrance of Itasca State park.Some items of note: the bathroom door latch did not latch. The pillows kept falling down in the space under the headboard. The water pressure in the shower was only so-so at best. The temperature was very good. Lots of space in the unit - girlfriend suggested a small chest of drawers to unpack stuff into. We did have great interaction with Christine (owner) at the next door ice...

« This lovely little motel was exactly what we needed, a home base while we explored & hiked, visited w friendly locals & ate great walleye. Christine was quick & easy to communicate with, and our room was squeaky clean! »

« We had a great time at the cabin it was well equipped with everything we needed. We had a great time ice fishing and spending time with family. There was plenty of room for all of us and lots to do. We loved the area lots of eagles and red headed woodpeckers. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. »

« Love this little cabin -- just close enough to Park Rapids, yet far enough out to enjoy the peace of being up north. Perfect size with the two bedrooms, and roomy bathroom. Love having the laundry available also. My only suggestion would be to have a few lamps (living room and in each bedroom) so you don't have to rely on just the overhead lighting. But we really do love this place -- did you notice it has the biggest kitchen island in the history of up north cabins?? LOVE! »

« There is nothing about this place that isn’t absolutely beautiful in every way. The home was unique and so comfortable, decorated and finished with such care. The location, so remote and quiet. The 360°views from the upstairs deck, numerous windows or just walking around the carefully landscaped yard were amazingly beautiful! Cell reception and internet were just enough to keep up on things. It was good to get away from the distraction of technology. Our host Annie was on the spot to help us get...

« This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family Christmas trip. It was easy to get to, cozy, and inviting. We had a wonderful 4 night stay. We definitely recommend this lovely cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! »

« We had a great time at this little cabin! It's rustic in the sense that there is no running water but it has everything you need. Very clean campground with lots of amenities. Cabin is in it's own private area with it's own clean outhouse and water available outside. Conveniently located with Bemidji and Itasca nearby. We will be back! »
