« This is an historic property and the owner has strived to maintain its historic nature. The owner was pleasant and very helpful. We stayed in the wilderness room. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable and pillows perfect for us. The breakfast prep room was well stocked with 24/7 snacks and drinks. Breakfast selections were typical to those of other three star hotels. There is a large, quaint and well appointed sitting room central to all 2nd floor rooms. »

« Wouldn’t recommend at all, our room was supposed to be deluxe. They were cockroaches, no coffee or ice machine. No pool. Chairs with rips and mouldy bathroom. Towels had seen better days. Charged $87 a night. I wouldn’t pay $20! »

« It's our first time staying here and we really enjoyed it. Everyday, we were seeing deer morning, sometimes early afternoon and then towards evening. I heard sandhill cranes and wild turkeys, there's a little Carolina wren doing its best to figure out how to get inside. Our little dog Sammy was having a blast outside being able to be in the yard and not be tied up. We always had to make sure that the deer weren't out there before we went outside though, I wasn't sure if he would be smart enough...

« This was perfect for what we needed. Not a five star hotel but was clean, roomy, quiet, with comfortable bed, priced right and had everything we needed. We knew about the well water in the area so if you are not used to sulphur in your water, bring some drinking water. We thought the chickens in the yard were great to wake up to. »

« We meet the host, and he is really friendly. We enjoyed everything about the place. Highly recommend this place to stay. Has every thing you need for cooking, washing. Has all the tools to be successful in shark teeth finding. The host and house is a ten. »

« Great cabin feel house close to the Peace River and easy to find. Very cute unique furnishings and comfortable house. Private lot makes it cozy. Perfect for a couple's getaway! Easily could be a five star with a few upkeep issues taken care of. We would stay again! »

The property felt very welcoming, with thoughtful touches like breakfast items and snacks left for us.A few things were disappointing — the water had a strong sulfur smell, the shower handles were not fully clean, and the outdoor pool wasn’t usable due to the breaker continually tripping.However, the setting itself was wonderfully quiet and serene, and our grandson...

« We loved our stay at the Peace River house! The home was spacious, well kept and clean, complete with a fully equipped kitchen for folks who like to cook, like ourselves. Plenty of things to do on property! We rented canoes and searched for fossils, went on a trail ride on horse back, explored the little zoo and shop out front and rode a swamp buggy! All good fun and came back to relax and read in the backyard and cook delicious meals with locally sourced food from Jersey Acres Farm. We will...
