« The place was ideal for myself and 4 friends. We were amazed at the view and sound of the ocean from the house. It was a comfortable house. We enjoyed the patio area every morning with our coffee. However we did have to go buy cooking oil, and salt for the kitchen but everything else we needed was available. We also bought cleaner and cleaned the scum off the bathtub and noticed dust bunnies and candy wrappers under at least one bed.Overall we loved the ocean view and location of the property....

« I have been traveling to the Oregon Coast once every two or three years for the last 20 years. This is by far the best combinatio of property and view that i have ever experienced. The home and property are beautiful well apponted and stunningly landscaped. And the view is just breathtaking. « We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and couldn’t have chosen a better place.This property is quiet, private and crazy clean. The hosts, while living right next door, were welcoming and informative, yet not bothersome in the least. In fact, we hardly heard them. The layout of the two places provide a great deal if privacy and sense of security.The view toward the ocean is fantastic!We really enjoyed ourselves here and strongly recommend these hosts and the space they offer. »

« Loved this peaceful setting in the hills overlooking the ocean. The cottage was warm and welcoming, and the hosts were always available but also gave us lots of space. Very comfortable bed, an elk buck grazed in a field below the house, great deck for dining and sunning, I could go on and on. This place gets five stars plus!! »

« You can tell the host has done this before. Before our arrival, we had all information in hand once we got there. We didn't need to ask for anything - there were extra towels, everything clean, supplies were provided.Great experience. « Great property for a family reunion. Loved the outdoor eating area - great for kids, lots of room for kids to play outside. Several gathering spots inside for games, reading, TV, talking. The only downside is the small bedroom downstairs can get stuffy - would benefit with a window fan, but not a big deal. Would recommend »

« Overall our experience was positive. The home reminded me of my 1st home which was built in the 1940's. The owners here have made improvements inside and it is cozy. Some of the neighborhood homes are nice and some are very run down. Inside this rental the tvs, beds, and appliances are modern. The couch is small and not very comfortable, and there isn't much room in the bathroom to place toiletries. The small kitchen also could use additional counter space. Most of the windows are missing...

It was one of those properties where you feel like you're staying at a friend's or family member's home; comfortable.....not stuffy or stressful with too many fragile knickknacks & strict rules! We loved the back porch for dinner and the hanging swings for reading & coffee. The place is well stocked so you don't have to run out for every little thing. My daughters loved the provided cookies & q-tips, haha! Very comfy beds with soft sheets. »

« Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,...
