« We are so happy that we picked the farmhouse as our home base for our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech this past May. Aunts and grandparents were extremely comfortable with their own rooms and en suites. Everyone had a place to relax between activities and didn't even have to leave the house for morning coffee. We had family meals each night and anything we needed was right there in the kitchen. We had a private chef cook for us one night and she was also impressed with the kitchen! ...

« Everything was exactly as depicted on the house listing. What you don’t see is the peaceful setting of this gem. The stream that runs right by the house is a little surprise of added relaxation. The only note we had was the coffee maker situation. We are traditional brewed coffee drinkers but the Keurig w/available pods was a good alternative. We were in town for the home opener of the VT football season. Easy to get to and from on a busy weekend. We will be back. »

« Very clean cabin with many extras. (Books, cds, games and kids toys) Also a flat grassy area where kids could play soccer or baseball. A front porch with rockers and a view of the mountains. About 2.5 miles from a small bar/ restaurant. Great cabin for families. »

« The home was beautiful. Everything we could have needed was provided, including a basket of snacks to carry on the trails. The home was comfortable, clean, and located close to hiking trails. »

« Me and my girlfriend loved the feel of coziness and safeness of the place, yes given that it is small that doesn’t mean it is bad. It was perfect for our first ever stay at a location and it was close to home. We sincerely enjoyed the stay. »

« Scenic view of verdant hills with cattle grazing. This is a homestead farm with goats, donkey and peacocks. At night when the sky is clear, you can see the bright stars in the hemisphere. It’s a country experience with a flair of Tyrol Austria. »

« What a beautiful property. The area was quiet, the cabin was impeccably clean, and it was so fun to be around all the farm animals. The barn cats were lovely and kept us company the evening we had a fire. Should we be passing through the area, we will most definitely be staying again! »

« We spent a wonderful week-end ! Our tent and bed were very comfortable. And we felt so far from urban life, enjoying the stars in the sky and the melody of a quiet night in the countryside. Besides, the surroundings are beautiful, especially Moncove Lake. We really would like to thank Christine and her family for this experience. »
