« We arrived later in the evening than we had hoped. It was dark so we could not fully appreciate the beauty around us until morning. The camper was cozy and immaculate: Everything we could possibly need. Temps had dipped and they had it nice and warm for us. This was our first time EVER staying in a camper. Pleasantly impressed. « It was close to McAfee Knob, Tinker Cliffs & Dragon's Head trailheads. Loved the charm of the updated 1940's cottage (all modern conveniences). Easy scenic drives in all directions. Great coffee & food: Sycamore Station, Salem & Lemon & Vale Cakery, New Castle. See covered bridges near Newport & Dismal Falls. Easy scenic drive to Beartown Park, West Virginia, with awesome boardwalk thru stunning rock formations. »

« We are so happy that we picked the farmhouse as our home base for our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech this past May. Aunts and grandparents were extremely comfortable with their own rooms and en suites. Everyone had a place to relax between activities and didn't even have to leave the house for morning coffee. We had family meals each night and anything we needed was right there in the kitchen. We had a private chef cook for us one night and she was also impressed with the kitchen! ...

« We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. »

« We did a long weekend getaway to celebrate our son’s high school graduation and could not be more pleased with Sonny’s cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked and super clean. The beds are memory foam and comfortable. The cabin is full of sweet, personalized touches. We did kayaking (Graig Creek has class 2 and 3 rapids) hiked McAfee Knob, had fire pit nights and the kids caped out by the creek.Thank you Sonny! We will certainly be back! »

« This is an amazing get away. We rented the Red Rooster cabin for a couple of days. The cabin was clean and provided coziness along with entertainment between the barn animals, the fire ring outside and DVR to chill out indoors. »
