« Avant tout, la vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique. Mais, toutes les chambres n'y ont pas droit. Une d'entre elles est sur le parking avec une fenêtre minuscule, très décevante. Lors de mes échanges sur le tchat, la personne en charge a fait preuve de beaucoup de sarcasme et n'a apporté aucune compréhension réelle à ma déception. Ensuite, la décoration de la chambre est en décalage par rapport à l'extérieur de l'hôtel, qui est très beau, mais surtout, la propreté de la chambre était OK mais...

« We enjoyed relaxing in the living area. We ate at the Lighthouse in Clayton. We visited the coffee shop, brewery and winery. This place has a great view. Our only complaint was the bed. »

« This place is in town and close to shops and restaurants. The train tracks across the street are busy with freight trains, so that can get loud. Inside is clean. The kitchenette is small but has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is a large table and chairs in the main room with 2 beds. I found the main room to be a little dark, even with all the lights on. Overall, an excellent place to stay and the owners were communicative and responded promptly to messages. »

« The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town! »

« This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :) »

« House is a remodeled turn of the century 1900s) farmhouse, with plenty of history and modern touches. Everything we needed to be comfortable was provided. Beautiful property and close enough to town to explore. Enough bedrooms for 8. Quiet place to relax. Will stay again! »

« The space was welcoming, clean and quiet. It’s a fabulous location. We were at a family reunion but the location near the park offers a lot of recreational opportunities. There is a surprising amount of sleeping space. Shari was very responsive so any questions were addressed quickly. It was very hot so we didn’t spend much time outside but the new patio with the fire pit would be fantastic for cooler evenings. « Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible. »
