« Efficient and helpful staff. Breakfast was very.....iffy!!! Orange juice was all water. Ran out of coffee and waffles were doughy. Probably needed less dough or to cook longer. Nice clean and comfortable room but could have used additional towels. Would stay there again. »

« This is a unique property. The house is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to tell what exactly we were getting from the listing. We wound up with a room with an en-suite bathroom, which I would definitely recommend, otherwise you may be sharing a bathroom with complete strangers. We stayed here as part of RAGBRAI, so it was completely full and folks were definitely having to share a bathroom and coordinate showers. « No fresh food for four days. No counter service. Bed was ok, but no king size beds. Toilet did not fully flush. Sink cabinetry cracked. Toilet size for children. Room wall light did not work. « This property is a step back in time. The main floor is remodeled very nicely. The basement where the washer and dryer are has a room that feels like the 1960's. It has a radio and bar that are from the old days and is pretty cool. The 2nd floor where the bedrooms is definitely a step back in time. The woodwork and furniture is very dark. « We had a perfect stay at The Rookery Cottage! Such a cute and quaint cottage. It had everything we needed and was a very relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were so friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be back! »
