    We give this beach house five stars! Tucked behind the gates at Villages of Crystal Beach, this home is located just a short walk (2 blocks) from the beach with sugar white sand and emerald water! 206 Kono Way's owners just purchased a brand new six seat, street legal golf cart for your complimentary use. Fresh paint and new furnishings ensure a fantastic beach vacation experience for guests. A tropical lagoon style swimming pool (seasonally heated) is a 3 min walk away along with a community BBQ area. You cannot beat this location – right in the heart of Destin near boutique shopping, outlet shopping, endless restaurants, entertainment, deep-sea fishing charters, a water park ……. you name it!

    Open and airy describes the floor plan. The spacious living and dining areas flow nicely into a fully equipped kitchen that features an expansive island and a convenient half bath. The family gathering area is designed with comfort in mind and offers generous space for everyone in the group. In addition, the main level is home to a master suite with a king bed and private bath with a separate tub and shower.

    The upstairs landing is a perfect place for relaxing, and is furnished with a comfy sleeper sofa, an HDTV, and access to the balcony. There is a guest bedroom with a queen bed and balcony access. For the kids, our spacious bunk room will sleep four with two sets of bunk beds (twin over twin). The shared hallway bathroom features a tub-shower combination. There is also a second master suite offering a king bed and a private bath with a shower. A laundry closet with a full-size stacked washer and dryer is conveniently located on the upstairs level. Home sleeps 12 total plus a pack and play is provided. There is parking for two cars, plus the golf cart. The HOA does not allow overflow or street parking.

    CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Reservations cancelled within 14 days of arrival receive no refund unless the guest purchased travel insurance. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking.

We had the best stay!! The house was clean the kitchen stocked with everything we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving day brunch. The golf cart was so useful. We had an issue with the door code not working and a technician came out on Thanksgiving day and fixed it. We'd never been to Destin but we fell in love with the city and when we come back this is where we'll stay. Thank you for everything. Top to bottom perfection.

Perfect for families with children

The house was exactly as described. We flew into Destin and was unable to travel with all amenities needed for the kids. This place had all that was needed to make it a great trip!! Perfect for adults and childrem alike, The golf cart really made it easy for transporting chairs and belongings to and from the beach!! I highly recommend this place!! We will book it again next year.

Perfect location

Perfect house!!! Location was a 10 min walk( at a very leisurely pace) to the beach. The pool was amazing and right around the corner. The golf was key and made trip to nearby restaurants so easy. Slept our group of 10 with room to spare. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Family vacation

We all enjoyed our stay but there are a few things that need to be improved. Most things are small issues but when paying that much I wouid expect a little more. Refrigerator did not work great. And small things were missed in the cleaning process. The house overall was nice and spacious. But the walk to beach was a little harder for my older parents. They do offer a shuttle thankfully.

Too many Rules

Loved the property, a little too far from the beach. Pool was always pretty packed since people out of the community were coming to swim. The staff attended did not check bracelets. We also had too many rules to follow even thou we paid all the fees, like take out the trash 2 times a week. Clean and wash all dishes before we left. Collect all towels and put them in the bath tub. I strongly believe if we pay those high fees that we should not have to do that.

The parking situation should be mentioned in the Vrbo listing.Because some people had to spend $25 a day to park 3 or so miles away, and others parked near by and got towed. Also when she got towed the front desk were rude and said “I don’t know anything about it being towed it was probably stolen” BUT the security for place actually had it towed but only gave 2 hours notice before having it towed at 2:46 in the morning on a Sunday. So the front desk and “security”need to have better communication. Terrible toilet paper/not enough toilet paper so we had to buy our own toilet paper, had to buy more trash bags, and had to go throw our towels in the dryer before using them and use some of our personal beach towels for when we got out of the shower because they left 7 towels for 10 adults. Whoever their cleaning service is, they aren’t the best because whenever we cleaned before we left we found two glow sticks and scrunchies that were not ours. Only good thing was the location.

I expected more for the price

Day one we were called by management informing us about a light out in the bedroom and a broken toilet paper roll and asking if they wanted us to come fix it. Neither of which was a big deal to us and I definitely don’t want to spend my vacation waiting on a repair person. The home is nice and furniture is comfortable. A few things about the house.. mold under inside of toilets and really bad mold in the ice dispenser on the fridge which we never could get to dispense ice. The hot water in the kitchen doesn’t get hot. The master shower sinks doesn’t drain correctly and the master shower water pressure is terrible. There was so much lent left in the lent trap of the dryer from people not cleaning the lent out after use I’m surprised the house didn’t burn down. Air conditioner works great throughout house but it’s very loud outside of the master bedroom window. The house is about 2 blocks from the main pool. The pool is nice. Shuttle man was super friendly. The house is a decent walk to the public beach access but doable.

Reviewer Comments: Arrived to the home July 1st at 4:10 the house was not properly cleaned. The refrigerator had bugs in it. The bathrooms were definitely not properly cleaned. A young lady came to inspect the property. She was exactly what I seen. 2 hours later they sent someone to clean again the items that were missed. Location was perfect. After reaching out and sharing my concerns. I was told I could never be welcomed to stay at a Beach Blue property again. The previous guests had trash running over with trash at our front door. It was not emptied for 2 days. Flies ans smell was enough to make you gag. The house is also infested with mosquitoes and a moisture environment. Definitely made my allergies kick in. I will stick with Real Joy properties. The company waited til I got home yo inform me that I'm not welcome in there properly 4400 wasted.

However, some items needed to be repaired and maintained, i.e., bar stools (loose screws), the blender glass pitcher broken, the shower door in the upstairs hall bathroom (only one door opened), and the upstairs patio chairs were broken. Some of the items in the kitchen need to be replaced, such as the pots and pans. They did replace the blender while we were there right away. (Thank you). The beach toys need to be thrown away and replaced. They were rusty and broken. We loved the 6-passenger golf cart. The house's location was okay, but I wish it were closer to the beach and restaurants. However, everything was still relatively close. The pool was great, but the hot tub did not look clean. I noticed our host was good about replying to me initially, but several weeks before our vacation, she/he never responded. I had to call the main number. After we arrived, we did receive text and quick replies when we asked for something. Overall, a great house and we had a blast.

Nice neighborhood

The house was in good condition except the furniture needed dusting and we had to wipe counter tops. We had to clean the BBQ grill to use it since it was dirty and had not been cleaned in a while. Overall it was a good home and what we expected. There is additional parking available located behind Progress Bank on Regions Way but it costs about $30/day.

It had the bare minimum on bathroom amenities, TP, paper towels, soap, but we knew that pretty much going into the experience. There were plenty of pots and pans, dishes, etc. There was a Keurig coffee maker, which we did not know about ahead of time. The pool is very close and is awesome. The beach is pretty close, but felt that it was better to drive down scenic 98 to park at the Crab Trap. The beach down there was less crowded. We expected a workout area by the pool, and, after lots of going back and forth, the property manager informed us that it was a mistake...there was no workout area. They did refund us $150 for that mistake. Overall a good experience and plenty of room for a family of five plus a family of 6! The kids had a blast. The King suites were awesome.
