  • West end unit offers the best sunset views year-round! Come enjoy the contemporary luxury of this recently fully renovated and professionally decorated large 2-bedroom /2-bathroom beachfront condo with private 30 ft. balcony. Beautiful high-end finishes throughout including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, large custom walk-in shower in master bathroom, tub/shower in guest bathroom; new tile and carpeting throughout. King bed in master bedroom, 2 queens in guest bedroom, sleeper sofa in LR. 65" Smart HD TV/DVD player in Living Room; additional 50" flat screen TVs/DVD players in both Bedrooms; TV in Kitchen; CD player. Wet bar with ice maker, Keurig, Wi-Fi and reserved indoor parking. Free beach service March 1st through the Sunday after Thanksgiving. (Monthly reservations do not receive complimentary beach set-ups) Maximum: 6 people.

    Condo does not have a landline phone and is non smoking. For monthly reservations (over 28 days) please contact Destin Gulfgate directly.

Best Beach Stay

Such a wonderful, beautiful property with a perfect view of the beach and Gulf from the spacious balcony! We found this to be such a peaceful place and spent the majority of our time in the condo or on the beach. Many amenities provided and we loved that the beach chairs and umbrellas were included in the cost. Front desk staff was very helpful. We definitely plan to return! Husband loved the fitness center and worked out daily.

This condo is fabulous!

This was everything it was advertised as and more! Great beach area and the condo is very close to the ocean. The balcony is huge and has three tables and chairs settings. The master bedroom opens to the balcony and is great! Very clean condo. The front desk staff was very helpful and very friendly. Designated parking spot in the garage was very nice, and there was ample other parking too. The pool was very clean and was great too. All in all this was one of the best places we have stayed in the Destin area and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

So many benefits to staying at the Starfish Shack! Not only did we have beach service but our chairs were always at the front. The ice maker was so helpful. The views into the clear ocean were amazing! We saw a manatee and a gator. This is an end unit and the windows along the side of the kitchen overlook the pool which was helpful to see if it was crowded or not. Free drinks at happy hour was nice. 5 minute walk to The Back Porch and The Candy Maker. The staff were helpful and seemed to be cleaning the property regularly. This place spoiled us and will be the only Destin property we stay at in the future.

I did not enjoy other condos smoking on their balconies and the lack of property management enforcing the no smoking policy. There needs to be fines enforced for this. We also found cheese-its (crackers) smashed into the carpet under a bed in the front room when we entered the condo too. Not the cleanest condo we've ever stayed in.

The condo was spacious, clean, and accommodating. We had plenty of supplies and utensils to cook with in our kitchen. They also have grills outside near the pool areas if you'd like to grill. The staff members very kind and welcoming. They assisted us with anything we needed! The pool areas were always clean and inviting. They also have a private beach area that was pristine and absolutely gorgeous! They are located in a great area that's close to all of major grocery stores, various restaurants, and main attractions of Destin. We are already planning to visit again next year!

Another Perfect Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my 15th year staying at Destin Gulfgate and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The property itself is perfect. The beachfront location, the grounds, the pool and all the amenities are top notch. With respect to the Unit I stayed in (806) it was nearly perfect. The kitchen was well appointed with all the implements, cookware and appliances needed to cook a meal. The unit was very beautiful in terms of furnishings and decor. The ONLY thing I would suggest is perhaps adding a box fan or stand fan for the use of the guests. We had some very still and warm evenings on the balcony and a fan would have been useful. I'll be back for year 16 in 2023.

Of all the units we have rented, 806 has been our favorite. We love the decor of the unit, and it is nicely appointed. Gulfgate is in a fantastic, convenient location where the beach is not crowded, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I reported to the front desk as I left that a chaise lounge chair on the deck outside of the bedroom was broken. There is a bolt but the nut was missing so it's a danger. The dishwasher might also have a problem because the only button that I could use to start the dishwasher was the "pots/pans" button. Other than was a great stay.
