I never write reviews but we had such a good time that I felt this deserves the full scoop! While this is a GREAT place to stay, no place is perfect so we broke down positives and negatives Positives: -location is perfect. Gated community with multiple pools. Drive across the street to a private lot that’s right on the beach. Or you can walk. It’s also right in the middle of everything. We never had to travel more than 5 minutes for a delicious meal or activities -comes with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella! You just tell the guys as you’re walking on the beach your unit number and they reserve your spot -cute little restaurant on the beach right next to parking also beach was not crowded and super nice -condo has a balcony and is super close to one of the pools. Also has anything you need, towels, hangers, shampoo/soaps, hair dryer, and kitchen supplies -bed was comfy! Very tall Negatives: -the sheets did have stains on them including a blood spot…towels and decorative pillows also had stains. They weren’t necessarily dirty just seems like they are due for an upgrade -can only turn the A/C down to 70. There is not a fan over the bed so we did get a little warm at night, but we are also from Texas and like it freezing at night -condo is on second floor if that bothers you, wasn’t a problem for us. -the pool next to the condo was not open for our trip. Looks like they were draining it. However, there are multiple other pools on site we could have gone to.

Some issues with cleanliness, but would come back.

Two-night stay for our kiddos to experience the ocean. The gated community aspect, and private beach was great especially for the convenience with small children. There are multiple pools at the facility as well which was a nice option. Centrally located to lots of Destin attractions. Our only complaint was some issues with cleanliness. The throw pillows on the bed had some really gross stains on them and you could tell they had probably never been washed...or at least not in a long time. The bathtub was also dirty with obvious residue and dirt in the bottom of the tub. I was contacted via text about reviewing the cleaning of the condo. I gave them an update. I was asked if we wanted to be moved to a different unit, but I declined (too much hassle with small children). The person I communicated with via text told me they would refund the cleaning fee to my credit card to help alleviate some of the cost while on our trip...well we have been home for two weeks now and I still have not seen any refund on my card. I reached out to Vacasa yesterday and they have informed me now that they can refund me only a portion of the cleaning fee....and it will have to be by check...and it will take 6-8 weeks. Not exactly great customer service.

This coastal condo was very good. The amenities were great and easy access to the beach was fabulous. Very close proximity to shops and restaurants. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Loved the beach access, very quiet area. I’ll probably get a bigger option next time but definitely recommend this place for stays. It does have a washer and dry but not in the unit its shared. Only thing i didnt like was the way the room smelt not sure if it was the cleaning supplies that they use or if thats just the way it smells. Maybe adding air fresheners would help.

Just Disappointing

While the unit was close to the beach, I will say it wasn’t a 3 minute walk. The room was definitely tiny, not really suitable for 4 people like advertised. You can tell its age by the way everything creaked and was just loud even walking around. The bed was absolutely the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on, anywhere. The blankets that were provided were paper thin. The AC went out during our stay. The first night we were there the room wouldn’t go below 75 so we had to keep the balcony door open. The next day, the room was 80+ but they did come out and put a portable charger and AC unit in the room (which leaked water everywhere and caused additional headaches, but hey the room wasn’t 80 degrees anymore). We had to deal with multiple maintenance men knocking on the door during the stay wanting to paint or look at things around the unit. Beach service WAS NOT included in our stay. I even messaged before our stay and asked to be sure so we didn’t have to spend money on chairs and umbrella, and we were told yes. When we got to the beach, we were told no, because apparently they hadn’t been paying the bill. So we were out over $100 on chairs and an umbrella for the beach and also had to carry it all out there. We got this room for a decent rate since it was off season I assume, it was low 70s during our stay. The pool wasn’t heated, it was freezing. Laundry is $6 a load so that was a bit expensive. The sheets had stains on them. We considered going somewhere else.

Ac didn’t work

The condo has an excellent location. Unfortunately, the AC was not working properly and we couldn’t sleep. Vacasa contacted me in regards to this, they said they will credit back $200 for the unpleasant stay and I got only $100 back in muy account. Not staying here again or with Vacasa. Thanks

Great condo. Will stay again.

This is our second time staying here and we have had no issues both times. Short walk to the beach. Great restaurant in complex. Very clean. Able to do late check out which allowed us to spend another day at the beach.

Beach was great.

It was ok. It would have been much better without the creepy downstairs guy that knocked on our door and impled that we were to loud. It was 4 in afternoon and honestly we were just walking in the unit. Being it just me and my daughters i felt very creeped out!!! Also the patio door did not lock which made it so i couldn't really sleep. Needless to say we left a day early!!! So big waste of money!! On another note. It was nice to have pool access but was kinda grossed out when we saw people letting their dogs in the pool!!!

Perfect Getaway

This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean and updated, close to the beach and pool, equipped... the only thing it didn't have was salt and pepper and coffee filters. That wasn't a big deal though because there are several grocery stores within a mile of the place. Very conveniently located. The mattress is wonderful too, so we slept very well every night we were there. We're looking forward to visiting again soon.
