Great communication with hosts; we had to change our dates but didn't have any issues doing so. House was as described and lots of space for our family to spread out. Outside space looked wonderful, but heat index of 100 kept us inside. Would be a great spot for cooler fall or spring weather Really enjoyed the proximity to plenty of food options (big fans of Mullets!) as well as the zoo and Mall. Also enjoyed the Brass Armadillo antique store.Would recommend this home to anyone looking for space to spread out and easy access to Des Moines area.

4.5 StarsThis home had plenty of room for my group (12) and is in a nice safe neighborhood, plenty of parking. Backyard is spacious with many comfortable seats on the decks. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot and bonus game room super fun to use! Kitchen could use some more supplies & it would've been nice to have more seating in the main living room. Two master suites is a little misleading, there is one suite with a King and ensuite bath, the second is a room with a queen bed and access to a shared bathroom. I wouldn't call it a master suite - but it was a perfectly fine room. Overall we had a great stay and would return to this home. Hosts were very helpful when needed!

Team headquarters

This well equipped house in a quiet neighborhood made a great gathering place for our basketball team playing at the National Senior games. Comfortable spaces to unwind after games and a kitchen to fix meals. Huge washer a bonus for cleaning uniforms.

Awesome house!We enjoyed the full size new washer and dryer. The back patio was spacious with lots of seating.Our golden retriever puppy loved the fenced in backyard.Garrett would get back to us quick with answers for our questions.Would most definitely stay here again!

Large home in friendly neighborhood: some issuy

There’s a lot to like about this house. It was large enough for my husband and me plus my daughter’s family of four. The play area in the garage was a big hit for our 9 yr old. The separation of bedrooms upstairs vs downstairs allowed each family to have their own sleeping space. The yard is large, fenced with grass so good for dogs. The neighborhood is very quiet and seems safe. It’s close to major roads and amenities. There were a few issues that made our stay less than ideal. A repair guy was at the house when we checked in. He replaced an exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms. Unfortunately he didn’t fix the lights, too, so that bathroom was pretty dark. He did fix the kiddie gate on the stairs going to the downstairs so that was good. The yard is great but it hasn’t been mowed in some time so the grass is tall which made it hard to pick up after our dogs. There was a large pile of sheets and towels in the dryer that we didn’t know where to put. In order to cool the top floor, we froze the family sleeping in the downstairs. The cooling system has one thermostat on the main floor. The listing did not say that access to all bedrooms requires either going upstairs or downstairs- no bedrooms are on the main floor. Finally, we’ve stayed in a lot of short term rentals and the check out process was a bit onerous. Stripping the beds for that many beds on our way out was time consuming.
