Local coffee, restaurants, hiking trails, river access, and year-round outdoor adventures are nearby. Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 25 minutes away, making the cabin an easy home base for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and quiet weekends in the forest.



A FEW MOUNTAIN NOTES



Hearthstone is located in a rainforest and mountain environment, where changing weather and local wildlife are part of the experience. Please keep food and garbage secured, particularly outdoors.



Winter guests should arrive prepared for possible snow and ice. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended whenever winter conditions are present.



Dining and grocery choices are limited in Glacier, particularly during quieter seasons. We recommend completing larger grocery runs in Bellingham before traveling up the mountain.



Hearthstone is intended for peaceful mountain getaways rather than parties or events. One dog is welcome, and we appreciate guests helping us preserve the quiet forest setting for the surrounding community.

Glacier Springs is a peaceful mountain neighborhood tucked into the forest of Glacier, Washington, just about two miles from the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and directly across the street from the Nooksack River.

Guests can enjoy the sounds of Glacier Creek, forested surroundings, nearby walking trails, and beautiful mountain scenery throughout the area. It is a wonderful place to slow down, breathe in the fresh alpine air, and feel surrounded by nature.



While Glacier Springs is not a gated community and does not offer shared amenities, it has a relaxed, residential mountain feel with plenty of trees, peaceful roads, creekside charm, and quick access to everything that makes Glacier and Mt. Baker so special.
