Dartmouth is an idyllic base for an escape to Devon. Enjoy stunning views from the banks of the River Dart as you stroll along the embankment. Wander the streets of independent shops, restaurants and cafés. Indulge in a boat trip on the River Dart, or catch the ferry and hop on the steam train.

Families with adventurous young explorers are sure to love nearby Woodlands, just five miles out from this idyllic property, where all-weather fun is guaranteed. With a mixture of rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, and even a toboggan run, you’re sure of a good day out. Or why not step away from the shore and take a boat ride up to see the sights of the historic Greenway Holt, home of Agatha Christie.

Dartmouth is an all year round destination hosting a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival (May), the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta (August), and the Dartmouth Food Festival (October).

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is the heart of the home. Soft furnishings, coastal touches and a log-effect electric fire create a cosy atmosphere for evenings in, while the well-equipped kitchen and sociable breakfast bar make mealtimes easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re enjoying a slow morning coffee or winding down after a day by the sea, it’s a welcoming space to gather.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are calm and comfortable, designed for a restful night’s sleep. The main bedroom offers a bright and airy double room with soft linens and thoughtful details, while the second bedroom is ideal for families or friends, sleeping up to three guests with a combination of bunk-style and single sleeping arrangements. A contemporary shower room completes the interior, finished to a high standard with modern fittings. There are 2 flights of stairs so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Outside, the private rear garden is a real bonus for a central Dartmouth property. Enclosed and furnished with seating, it’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, relaxed lunches or a quiet glass of wine in the evening after exploring the town.

The nearest train station is Totnes, approximately fifteen miles away by car.

Parking:
The property has no parking on site; however, we offer the use of a local parking permit that allows free parking in the park and ride car park, located at the top of town with use of the park and ride bus included which will transport you to and from. You can still load and unload outside the property. If the park and ride isn't running then you can catch the number 90 bus from Sainsburys into the town centre. From 1st October - 30th April the town also offers less restrictive parking measure so parking locally is often possible on The Embankment, South Town and Newcomen Road.

Stairs:
There are 2 flights of stairs so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Pets:
One well behaved pet welcome. House rules to be observed.
