More than 30 years ago, our family discovered a little slice of heaven in the mountains of Western North Carolina and built Belle Viste, a generational home with spectacular views of both Lake Glenville and the peaks and pastoral fields. When the adjacent land became available, we knew it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share this magical landscape and Wild Pines at Lake Glenville was born — two tiny gems: Piccola House (“little” in Italian) and Volare Blue (“to fly, to explore, to soar”). We hope these tiny homes inspire you to push the limits of your comfort zone while indulging in luxurious mountain living and reconnecting with the great outdoors.

Volare Blue shares the property with its sister tiny home, Piccola House. Together they form the heart of the Wild Pines compound. They're about 75-100ft apart with a shed and landscaping for privacy, or get to know your neighbors if you choose. Welcome to Volare Blue a cheeky luxe loft-style tiny house perched high in the Appalachians near Cashiers, Highlands, and Sylva (WNC University), NC. The name Volare means “to fly, to soar” and that’s exactly what this space inspires—freedom, lightness, and unforgettable moments surrounded by nature’s beauty. The drive up is rustic, the tiny house a surprise.

Volare Blue is designed as the ultimate base camp for mountain and lake adventures blending bold design and mountain serenity. You’ll enjoy a Cal King bed in the main loft, a second loft lounge with two Plufl human dog beds (use as extra guest beds, although you'll be fighting over who sleeps here, just make sure kids are supervised), and three smart TVs—perfect for cozy nights after exploring the trails and hunting for waterfalls.

Your fully equipped kitchen features a large retro refrigerator in a gorgeous eggshell blue, induction cooktop, mini dishwasher, and a custom Puzzle Table. Enjoy fresh espresso, pour-over, drip, or Keurig coffee, regular and decaf.

Outdoors, relax on expansive decks, make s'mores at the fire pit, play cornhole, or throw the ball with your pup in the private fenced dog yard. A deck storage chest keeps your luggage tucked away so your space feels open and uncluttered.

Prepare to be amazed by the folding stairs we designed, they make the lofts feel much less loft-y.
