Welcome to Sunshine Retreat - our two-bedroom home that we're genuinely happy to share. Whether you're a couple after a quiet escape or a small family in need of a proper break, we've set things up so you can settle in and feel right at home. The spacious living area stays comfortable year-round with reverse cycle air conditioning, and fly screens on the windows and doors mean you can let that coastal breeze through without worrying about bugs. Our chef's kitchen is fully equipped with a Smeg oven and cooktop, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Feel free to help yourselves to anything in the spice drawer, fridge, and pantry cupboard. When it's time to unwind, there's a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, and board games to keep everyone happy. We've also filled the bookshelves with titles we've collected over the years - hope you find your next favourite. And if Zoom calls follow you away, our dedicated office space with high-speed WiFi internet has you covered.
Outside, we've created an alfresco space that we love spending time in. Fire up the 5-burner gas BBQ, pull up a chair at the outdoor dining table, and let the evening take care of itself. After a day at the beach, our outdoor shower with hot water is exactly what you'll want, and the gas heater keeps things comfortable while you sip your sundowner. Our fully enclosed yard is dog-friendly, so the four-legged members of the family are more than welcome. Ours has left some of his toys for yours to play with too. We've also got parking for two cars, with additional on-street parking nearby.
The location is one of our favourite things about Sunshine Retreat. Dog-friendly Culburra Beach is just 150 metres from our front door - perfect for a morning swim (if you’re lucky with dolphins), a surf, or simply sitting with your feet in the sand. Tennis courts are 700 metres away, with a skate park and children's playground just 1km down the road. For food, the Culburra Bowling Club bistro and pizza, and local cafes like Fishwicks, are within 2km. Don't miss Penguin Head Lookout for sweeping coastal views and seasonal whale watching or take a short drive to Myola and hop on the Husky Ferry to Huskisson.

Property Specific Notes Tucked away on a quiet block, the property offers complete privacy throughout your stay. Set back from the street, you’ll enjoy your own fully fenced, private yard with no shared outdoor spaces, making it ideal for relaxing, entertaining, or letting children and pets play safely. The thoughtful layout ensures a peaceful and secluded retreat.
Property has one bedroom which will remain locked. Guests Do Not have access to this bedroom.
This property has external security cameras located on the front of the house covering the driveway, the side of the house covering the footpath and the back of the house covering the back gate. Cameras will not be operational when the house is occupied by guests.
Property has an attached garage. Guests Do Not have access to the garage. As the garage is attached to the house, it is required to have heat sensors and smoke alarms wired to the house smoke alarm system. Regardless of garage access, for your own safety you must act and report if alarms are activated
Pets are welcome at this property. There is a AUD 100 surcharge to have your pet stay. This surcharge may vary depending on the length of the stay. Please declare at the time of booking and refer to the terms and conditions regarding pets.
If you bring a pet, a surcharge will be added after the booking is placed.
Property is fully fenced.
WiFi is offered as a complimentary extra. As there is no charge, issues will be dealt with Asap but cannot be guaranteed.

Terms and Conditions: Detailed terms and conditions apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you. Please share the terms and conditions with your other guests.
Check-in and -out Times: During the busy months of December and January, the check-in time is 4 pm to facilitate peak back-to-back changeovers. Our standard check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10 am. We offer a complimentary early check-in or late check-out time as a gesture of goodwill where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. Note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check-ins or late check-outs will be granted during the months of December and January. The safest way to secure an early check-in or later check-out is to book the property for an extra night. Contact us for a special rate for this extra night. All Sunday late check outs must be requested and approved prior to 5 pm on the Friday evening prior. All complimentary early check-ins or late check-outs must be confirmed in writing so that our housekeeping team are informed accordingly.
Guest Registration: Guest registration is mandatory for all bookings and replaces the need for a cash bond for short term bookings (up to 20 nights). It is essential for fraud prevention, damage claims, safety, and emergency purposes. The process varies depending on the online travel agent used. Direct bookings require the booker to upload a copy of their driver’s licence and credit card through our encrypted online process.
Additional Guests: The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.
No Extras: This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.
EV Charging: For safety reasons and to comply with insurance requirements, guests are prohibited from charging electric vehicles at any property that does not have a dedicated EV charging station. Charging electric vehicles without proper infrastructure poses a fire hazard, and in the unfortunate event of an incident, insurance cover may be compromised, and the guest held liable. If in doubt, ask our team for the closest EV charging station.
Long Stay Discounts: Some of our properties are well suited to longer stays. For bookings of 30 nights or more, we may be able to offer a reduced rate compared to what’s advertised. Please feel free to get in touch with our team with your preferred dates, and we’ll be happy to look at the best available rate for you.

For medium-term bookings (21-40 nights) and long-term bookings (41-90 nights), a non-negotiable cash security deposit is required. This deposit is refunded after the departure inspection, with any damage or loss deducted. The minimum cash deposit is $2000, with higher amounts for larger or more expensive properties, or at the owner’s/manager’s discretion.
Peace of Mind: For your added security we will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held by us and not disbursed until after your departure.
