It was fine- wasn't great for us. I expected more and the property was lacking. I didn't realize that there are 2 cabins on the same lot (nearly attached). I now see that I overlooked that in the listing. If bringing a dog, be prepared that there's no "yard" for them. It's a steep gravel driveway with limited grass. There's also no HVAC. Only space heaters and window A/C. The bedroom A/C never got cold, only a cool fan. The beds were not great, I thought the master bed would cave in. My husband said it's held up by pallets. The shower curtain isn't the right size so you can have an opening at the wall to get water everywhere or leave it open at the other end so you're exposed and watching yourself shower in the mirror. Limited towels and toilet paper. Hardly any amenities provided- not even something to light a fire. Most TV channels were blocked on ROKU. Not enough seating in the living room. House was being cleaned still after check-in time and was left with a smoky smell--not sure if the cleaning staff smoke and what it was that they were smoking. Once we aired it out, it was ok. Hardly any dining options nearby- have to drive at least 30 minutes. Overall, it wasn't a great stay for us.

We had a great stay here for a few days visiting Mammoth Cave and the surrounding area. The location will be much more convenient to the park when the ferry reopens, but we still found it easy to get around and felt safe in the community. The cabin is laid out well for a family to stay, and has nice features for kids. Our preschooler loved the kids nook and some of the books and games there. All the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathtub was a standout feature. We had most of what we needed to cook a couple meals at the cabin, there are a few convenience stores nearby to get what was missing, and we also enjoyed some local places to eat.The owners have clearly put a lot of effort into making this place updated, cozy, and welcoming! It's a great value option for visiting the area.

We enjoyed our stay. It is a great value. TJ was friendly and informative and quick to respond when we reached out. Kitchen supplies are basic due to storage space, however, it is easily fixed if you plan accordingly.

Everything was just perfect!! Very clean and cozy cottage..... Beds were great, sofa and other furniture was comfortable. Cute nook where kids played. We had everything we needed in the kitchen with the exception of any kitchen trash bags. We filled the first one up couldn't find any extras. Outdoor space was nice.

Loved the place! It was more like an hour from mammoth cave compared to what previous reviwes said, but we found it a good location if you're also going to explore hidden river cave and the Jesse James stables/outlaw cave. The host was very responsive and helpful and the cabin had everything we needed for a couple nights.

The home is very comfortable and has what you need to enjoy your stay. We spent our days exploring Mammoth National Park, the Diamond Caverns, the Corvette Museum and Churchill Downs. All of these visits are a must. TJ is a great host and ensured we had what was needed prior to our arrival.

Everything was perfect. Excellent and fast communication with the host whenever we had any questions. Outstanding location (local coffee spot was a hidden gem.) I would recommend this place to anyone. Take a drive in any direction and the sights are nothing short of beautiful.

Just needs some minor upkeep. As far as furniture outside and landscape. I'm sure that is due to the popularity of the cottage. And the time of year. The driveway is a bit intimidating, with it being such a steep hill and rock gravel. It's VERY clean, and a comfy place to stay. Wanted to have a bonfire, but it rained so we chose a night in for movies And relaxing. We were very happy with our stay. We were able to take our dog when the pet sitter didn't work out, and he even worked with the last minute change in plans. Would suggest a bigger sign for the house number. LolBut the special instructions were very accurate and helped a lot.

First thing we noticed was how clean the place was and smelled great all that really stood out. We've stayed at a lot of VRBO and this one stood out. Also the host contacted me th efforts day to make sure everything was working and we had what we needed, first time for that. As mentioned there is a short term rental on the property so you may have neighbors ours turned out to be very curtious. So if this place looks good to you don't hesitate this is one of the best VRBO places we've stayed at.

Daughter & I stayed 4 nights as a base to visit Nolin Lake & Mammoth Cave NP away from the tourist crowds. MCNP is 45 minutes away on scenic, rural roads. Best thing about this rental: access to the neighborhood boat ramp with adjacent swimming area, a 5 minute walk away or you can drive & park there. The bottom is sandy/rocky, not muck. This saved our visit to the area, booked before I learned that the public beaches on Nolin Lake & most of NLSP are closed due to spring flooding, expected to be closed for the season. We enjoyed floating in the lake & enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets there. Our host was responsive the few times we messaged. The cottage had everything we needed - used the firepit & kitchen to make a few meals. The AC was needed & appreciated. Nice seating area outside. Cottage is in a wooded neighborhood of cottages & RVs & situated for outdoor views. Neighbors were very friendly. Would recommend. Good for groups, families, little ones, people w mobility issues. Other than a few steps to the door, the cottage is all one level & you can park close to the door.

Beautiful cabin in cub run! Perfect distance from mammoth cave and lots to do! Me and my friends booked this as a last horrah before we all start our lives and go to college and I have nothing but good things to say. If you’re looking for a place in cub run, this is it!!
