The house is in Playa Azul, a quiet, unhurried stretch of Guanacaste’s Gold Coast. The shoreline remains wild and largely undeveloped, which is part of what makes it so beautiful. A short path through the trees leads to the beach in under five minutes—no car required. The pool is private, every bedroom has an ocean view, and howler monkeys move through the surrounding canopy. The pace here is its own.

THE HOUSE

Casa del Sol accommodates up to eight guests in four air-conditioned queen bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ocean view, private balcony, en-suite bathroom and large closet, giving every guest a comfortable private retreat.

The house includes a fully equipped kitchen, with grocery shopping available before arrival through the house manager. There is an outdoor dining area and barbecue, strong Wi-Fi throughout, and a washer and dryer on-site. The main living room has a television, while the bedrooms are designed as quiet, restful spaces.

THE POOL AND BEACH

The private pool is at the heart of the house, surrounded by tropical greenery and outdoor living space. Spend the morning at Playa Azul, return for a swim, and enjoy lunch or dinner outside.

Unlike many vacation homes in this part of Guanacaste, Casa del Sol is genuinely walkable to the beach. Follow the short path through the trees and you’ll reach secluded Playa Azul in under five minutes.

THE SERVICE

Casa del Sol is fully managed locally throughout your stay. Housekeeping is provided three times a week and can be adjusted on request. Grocery provisioning, in-house massage and other local experiences can be arranged through the property manager.

Yoga is available at Azul Hotel & Retreat or can be arranged privately at the house. The hotel is directly across the road and welcomes Casa del Sol guests for breakfast and dinner; simply walk over and pay on-site.

THE LOCATION

Casa del Sol offers a peaceful beachfront setting with easy access to several of the northern Nicoya Peninsula’s most appealing communities:

• Playa Azul: under five minutes on foot
• San Juanillo: approximately 10 minutes by car
• Marbella: approximately 10 minutes by car
• Nosara: approximately 30 minutes by car
• Liberia International Airport: approximately 1½ hours by car

San Juanillo is known for its beautiful protected coves, Marbella for surfing, and Nosara for its restaurants, shops, yoga studios and wellness scene. Casa del Sol lets you enjoy all three while returning each day to the privacy and quiet of Playa Azul.

Surfing, sportfishing, horseback riding, ATV tours, seasonal sea-turtle nesting tours, kayaking, paddleboarding, scuba diving, zip-lining, yoga, massage and guided nature or birdwatching experiences can all be arranged locally.
