This cosy cottage near the beach with a games room is tucked away in the most idyllic location. Dating from the 17th century, it is packed full of character, including two fabulous inglenook fireplaces.

You'll find Bwthyn-Bryn-Hir (Also known as Bwthyn yr Ardd) on the edge of the seaside town of Criccieth on Pen Llŷn (the Llŷn Peninsula). Built in 1671, it is the original cottage wing of the handsome Georgian manor house next door. It sleeps up to 5 guests, and well-behaved pets are also welcome.

This cottage is really quite delightful. Carefully renovated to preserve its original features - we love the exposed beams and stonework - the accommodation is bright, comfortable, and welcoming.

It's a fantastic little spot. Bwthyn-Bryn-Hir is just a short walk from the beautiful seaside town of Criccieth with its medieval castle, browsable boutiques, and big sandy beaches. As well as some excellent places to eat out, there are plenty of activities and watersports to enjoy too.

On the ground floor of this cosy cottage near the beach with a games room, you'll find a large sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and wood burner. This is a lovely room with exposed beams and stone work, thick stone walls and shuttered windows. A great place to hunker down in.

The well equipped kitchen diner is equally characterful, with more exposed beams and another large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. Don't miss the original beehive bread oven in the fireplace. More contemporary features include an electric oven and hob, as well as a dishwasher. The farmhouse dining table seats up to six guests. Upstairs, you'll find three very decent sized bedrooms - a king size double which has an en suite shower room, as well as a twin bedroom and single room which share a family bathroom, with a shower over bath.

It's worth noting that one of the beautiful original features at this cottage is its narrow stone spiral staircase - it is one of the defining details of the cottage, but please enquire if you are concerned about accessibility.

Outside you can look forward to a large private garden with pretty sloping lawns and mature trees and shrubs. As well as an adjacent woodland to explore, the cottage has its own games barn with table tennis and pool tables. Perfect rainy day entertainment for the kids.

We’re happy to welcome 2 well-behaved dogs! Please keep them supervised at all times and don’t leave them unattended. To keep the space comfy for everyone, we kindly ask that they stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms.
Feel free to bring their favourite bed, blanket, and anything else to make them feel at home!
