Academy Place | Bluebell

Academy Place Bluebell is located around the beautiful Academy Place Courtyard in downtown Crested Butte, Colorado. It is accessible from an alley, meaning that there is very little traffic alongside the cottage. Academy Place is a short walk from nearly everything that Crested Butte has to offer, just a few blocks away from the main street of Elk Avenue. In the other direction, Bluebell is also conveniently located close to the grocery store and local movie theater. Multiple hiking and biking trails can be accessed by simply walking a couple blocks to the edge of town. Despite its central location, Bluebell is also set back from the roads surrounding it, and is a quiet and private cottage.

Bluebell is a cottage, meaning you will have the entire home for yourself! It is a three bedroom, ideal for slightly larger groups with a sleeping capacity of eight. Bluebell’s primary bedroom is located upstairs, with a King-sized bed and a large bathtub, and steam shower located in the ensuite bathroom. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen with counter seating, a dining table, and a living area with a gas fireplace, a Smart TV and Sonos for music. The downstairs level hosts the other two bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and one with a King. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The remaining sleeping space is the sleeper sofa, which can unfold into a bed.

Bluebell also has a full sized washer and dryer and onsite parking for two cars in addition to available street parking. Each bedroom has its own TV as well for cozy entertainment. The outside space includes a private porch with an outdoor propane grill. Just off of the porch on the ground level you will find the spacious hot tub for your use only. Please note that this unit does not have air conditioning.

Compared to the other Academy Place units, Bluebell is one of two cottages located on the alley rather than the road. This can be some people’s preference due to the volume/traffic difference, though it is also slightly less easy to access. Additionally, Bluebell is one of two of our cottages with a hot tub, and the only one with three bedrooms rather than four. Bluebell can also be found in the Alley Bundle included alongside Fairy Slipper for larger groups or multiple families looking to rent adjacent cottages.
