Lakefront, amazing views, boat rentals available

Beautiful Lakefront property on the Lake of Egypt in the Shawnee National Forest. Property is pet friendly and inlcludes a fenced in yard to the water. Property includes boat dock, deck, lower and upper patio with seating, outdoor charcoal grill with many other amenties. Our home inlcudes 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 full kitchens and 2 living room areas.
Guests will have access to the neighborhood boat dock, located directly beside Lemonade Paradise. Sit outside by the fire under a pergola.
The space
This lakeside retreat on The Lake of Egypt offers the most beautiful sunset views. Watch the sunset from your own private dock, under the pergola by the fire, under one of two covered patios or see the sunset from inside the home relaxing on the couch. Guests will have access to two kayaks. Pontoon boat is available for rent. The house has two full kitchens, 3 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and 2 living rooms. There are 2 bedrooms on the upper floor. The master bedroom offers a queen bed and a full bathroom. The kids room has a loft bed and desk underneath. The main level offers a King bed. The lower level offers a living room, full kitchen, one bedroom with a full size and a trundle, and a full bathroom. Plenty of space for the whole family! Welcome to the Lake of Egypt and enjoy the lake life!
Guest access
Bring your own boat or there’s an option to rent a pontoon. Guests have access to neighborhood boat dock next door to the house. Enjoy swimming right off the dock. (Swim at your own risk) owners are not responsible for any accidents.

Our host was wonderfully communicative and accommodating. As a surprise he put up a very tall Christmas tree which made a great backdrop for Thanksgiving family pictures.

We had a lovely retreat in the Lemonaide cabin! It was a great spot close to the lake, and very relaxing. It seems the stairs to the dock are a work in progress, but we made it down the steep gravel walk without issue, and really enjoyed the fire pit. Hot tub was also a nice perk!"5 bedrooms" seemed a bit inaccurate, as one bed is actually on the second floor landing without privacy or a door. But this was represented in the listing photos, and we were able to make due without issue!Great host - proactive communication and no issues. Thanks for everything!

The sunsets over the lake were beautiful. The house had plenty of room and was comfortable, but the yard was difficult to use for the senior citizens in the group. Also, the kitchen amenities could use an update.

The view was beautiful, we had the most amazing sunsets. We also loved watching the eagles in the morning, they were in the tree right off the back decks. It was beautiful and the whole family had a wonderful time.

Loved staying here! The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous!! The dogs loved having free rein in the yard down to the lake since it’s fenced in all the way down! Lance was very responsive and made sure we were all taken care of! It was also close enough to a store and even a little bar that was super fun with live music on a Friday night! Will absolutely be back! Thank you!

Fun stay

Great stay! The property manager was wonderful. The beds were so comfy! The kitchen needed a few items for cooking meals but we made it work. Stairs are steep down to the water but the swimming and fishing off the dock were perfect for our family. Will stay again!

Wonderful Lakefront Stay

We had an incredible time. Spent almost all our time outdoors on the balcony, the dock, the pontoon boat, and the jet ski. Enjoyed the perfect views of the sunset over the lake. The fishing off the dock was great - caught multiple largemouth bass. Lance went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. By far the most attentive Vrbo host we have ever had.

Lake house experience

We liked having the lake view from the upper and lower level. We liked having easy access to the dock for fishing and renting the owners boat and jet ski. We drove about an hour to see the GARDEN OF THE GODS. which was great. Lance was very responsive and friendly.

Fantastic Getaway Spot

Beautiful home and property looking out to wonderful lake view. Host is great, everything was cozy and welcoming. Fenced yard down to dock is terrific if you are traveling with pets. Very clean house, stocked with everything needed. Thank you!

The location is unbeatable. The house is beautiful. We could feel the attention to detail and pride the owners have in everything , down to the fancy lighting fixtures and welcoming lemonade in the fridge. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were well stocked; the house was both professionally presented while also being comfortably unpresumptuous. The rate was more than fair and made the stay even that much more enjoyable. Loved it in every way. Thank you for opening your home !

Great home with beautiful view of the lake.

We loved the three levels in the home with bed/beds and a bathroom on each level. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the lake. The beds were comfortable. BTW - the bottom level has all the features of a separate apartment but connects to the upper levels. We had two issues the property. The dishes provided were cheap plastic with cuts in the plastic. The dishes didn't fit on the top shelf (for plastic) of the dishwasher. Some Corelle dishes would be a nice replacement. Also the Lemonade rugs need cleaning and and the rug in kitchen slides around. It needs something to keep in in place. Also the gas for one of the firepits is not provided. On the whole, we did love our week at this property.

I’m choosy about cleanliness and this was the cleanest VRBO my family has ever stayed at! It was just as pictured in the listing. There is very good parking and the views are amazing. We had lots of fun with the water amenities and swimming. We hope to return next year.

Lemonade Paradise was a fabulous family trip

We were here to drop our son at SIU for move in. Thanks Lance you were a great host and had everything ready for us when we got there! So many things to entertain us- games, the outdoor pit, swinging bench on the porch, the boat… if you stay here have fun!
