Venez explorer ce que Southern Illinois a à offrir pour votre prochaine escapade en famille! La "GATE HOUSE AT THE LAKE" a tout pour plaire! 2 chambres avec 2 lits queen, 2 lits gigognes queen-size, 1. 5 salles de bains, belle grande chambre avec moustiquaire dans le porche arriÚre, quai neuf avec électricité, vue magnifique sur le lac, foyer, Wifi, barbecue, garage, laveuse / sécheuse , Téléviseurs à écran plat / lecteur DVD, Direct TV, y compris le forfait Sport, ComplÚtement approvisionné (apportez seulement de la nourriture et des articles de toilette), tous les nouveaux meubles. La maison est sur un niveau avec seulement une étape pour entrer dans la maison. Le terrain est plat sur le quai sans marches !!!!

La maison a Ă©tĂ© repeinte rĂ©cemment, la climatisation est neuve, de nouvelles armoires de cuisine et un comptoir, ainsi que de nouveaux carreaux sur la terrasse. Nouveau pour 2019: nouveau revĂȘtement de sol dans la cuisine et la petite chambre! BientĂŽt Ă  venir ... nouvelle façade avant !!!

Et NEW pour 2019 est dédié à Internet pour chacune de nos maisons d'hÎtes !!!! 6 mbps et 1 mbps et une deuxiÚme ligne partagée entre nos 3 maisons, soit 6 mbps et 1 mb !!!

Nice place

This is a nice place to stay is a little worn. But overall clean, great view, plenty of room. Kayaks are shared with 3 other properties but is enough for everyone. We had a great experience.

Large area to hang out nice view of sunset

This house is advertised as able to sleep 10, but if you have ten you’d be constantly fighting over the one bathroom. It was 100 a night so it was definitely worth it, but I wouldn’t pay anymore. Beds were fine. Deck was not cleaned off. It also looked like a DIY cheap remodel. That being said, for 100 a night, and if you want a fishing cabin for the guys this is a good pick. It has a nice dock for your boat also.

Great Views of Sunset over Lake of Egypt

We watched sunsets and paddled kayaks when at the house. Daily we hiked trails at Garden of the Gods, Ferne Cliffe, and Giant City. House was roomy. We were fine with 1 bath because only 3 of us.Host was great.

Lovely Lake View and Access

This lakeside home was a nice get away. Star/Sky watching, gorgeous lake, Fern Clyffe State Park has trails, including wooded trail circling lake and walks to a natural waterfall. Enjoyed the quiet and wildlife.

Group of old friends booked a duck hunting trip and loved our 4 day stay at Egypt Lake

Great stay at Lake of Egypt

Great property on a quiet Lake of Egypt cove...house was nice and roomy, with 4 beds in 3 bedrooms, a huge great room, and we'll equipped kitchen. Only drawback is having only one bathroom...if you have more than 4 people, that might get tough. Could use another, tbh. Deck and screened in porch were great. House was nice and clean when we arrived, and the check-in/out process was easy. Only criticism would be some wear and tear that could be addressed..broken trim on kitchen floor that I stubbed my toe on 10+ times, etc. Small complaint though!

Beautiful escape

I really love how peaceful the house and the area are. Very beautiful views of Lake Egypt. I love also how close it is to a bigger city like Marion so you can go shopping at Walmart or even go to Carbondale for shopping. I also love how it’s close to a lot of different/beautiful trails. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. We really didn’t want to leave and go back to reality. Must stay.

Property was nice and quiet exactly what I wanted the were quite a few webs around doors and windows but not much inside at all. Place was spacious and had a fair amount of cookware laundry was conveniently located, and my family and really enjoyed the area and home.

Quick weekend trip

We booked this because my youngest goes to a camp in Carbondale for a day and don’t feel like making the 8 hour round trip drive. House was clean on the inside, right on the lake, check in was easy, communication was great.

Lakeside Cottage

Check in was fast and easy. The house has been remodeled but in doing so the half bath was removed leading to half our group renting an additional property to avoid the 1 bathroom congestion, we had not been notified of this change. Issues and resolutions: The grill was missing the tank and dirty. We had a fresh tank and new brush delivered fairly fast. We were missing a kayak 2 paddle boards and paddles. They had migrated to the next door property and we had access to them before the you ger people had time to get in the water. Septic started slow running and was cleaned out an hour or so after calling. While we had these issues customer service was top notch in taking care of us. The screen room was the most used room as the bugs were biting after dark. Fishing was good and the neighbors nice. We would rent again.

Overall very nice. Listed as 1.5 bath only has 1. Also listed with king and queen beds. They are all full beds. Other than that no problems.

Property Not As Advertised; Major Safety Fiasco

We have stayed in this property before and while it’s never clean, it does have Lake access without many steps, a nice screened in porch, and kayaks. We just clean when we get there. However, this year we arrived and found that the second bathroom (the half bath of the 1.5 bath listed) was locked and had a sign on it that said “utility closet.” We know this was a misrepresentation since we have stayed there before. This bath is important for our group of nine as we have mixed families, older folks, younger folks, and I don’t want to send my tween daughter into the bath when her grandfather is showering. We needed the extra half bath. The management should have disclosed in advance since they admitted they knew. When I reached out for a solution, they offered for us to use a bathroom of a house that the owner also rents next door. I accepted the solution, even though it was not what we paid for. The next day when we went in at 6:30 am to use the bathroom in this other unit, there were cans on the counter ans people asleep in the beds! We scared the crap out of them by entering a unit with the key the owners had given us. It was quite a scene. Once everyone calmed down, they told us they had been told by the same management company that they could use unit 151B because the refrigerator in their property upstairs wasn’t working. This was a major fail that endangered our safety. Owner refused to offer a partial refund for the fraudulent listing and the danger we encountered.

We rented the property for our bachelor/bachelorette party. The house on the outside was dirty, the screened in porch had spiderwebs and floor hadn’t been swept. The back deck is falling apart, someone almost fell through it. The grill was disgusting, never been cleaned. Floors were sticky, doors kept getting stuck and were tricky to open, the floors by the bathroom were soft. Overall the house needs some work done but we still had a good time

Lake Egypt

We walked in it smelled so good and it was very clean. It had a large kitchen, dining room, and living room space. Some of the deck boards need to be replaced and the bedroom off the kitchen needs rails for the steps down. The place was listed as having a full bath and a half bath but there was only a full bathroom. You have different levels of firmness to the beds so you can lay on them until you one you like. The people that set up the stay were friendly and helpful. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you❀ Overall a lovely stay.

Great place with great views

This place has a very spacious living area. When we first walked in all the children commented on the big living room and views of the lake. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The property owners talked to me by phone, which is rare and provided me with a number in case of questions. We had a nice time here and would definitely rent from them again.
