  • Welcome to "Central Perk" - your perfect vacation rental on beautiful Smith Lake!
    This gorgeous house is conveniently located near Rock Creek Marina (2 mins) and Cullman (30 mins). With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, this spacious and beautifully appointed house can comfortably sleep 9 guests.

    As you enter the house, you will immediately notice the attention to detail and the stunning views of Smith Lake. The house boasts two bedrooms on the upper level and two bedrooms on the basement level, offering plenty of privacy and space for all guests. The master suite on the upper level features a king-size bed, a large walk-in shower, and a stand-alone tub, as well as a TV in the room for your entertainment. The second bedroom on the upper level is perfect for kids or friends, with a twin-size bed and a twin over twin bunk bed.

    The lower level of the house features two more spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, and a second living area with a TV, perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a long day on the lake.

    Multiple outside spaces include: main floor screened porch, basement level open air porch for grilling. a detached deck for star gazing and and lakeside patio with a fire pit, perfect for cooler evenings.

    The dining room can seat 8 guests, with an additional 4 at the island, and 5 more on the screened porch, making it perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests. The house also features a fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need to prepare delicious meals.

    The dock slip is occupied by the owner's can tie your boat off to the side of the dock. There's also a spacious swim dock for swimming and soaking up the sun. You will find one kayak and paddleboard for when you are not on your boat

    With room to park 3 cars, you'll have plenty of space for all your guests. The house also features WiFi and Dish satellite television, so you can stay connected and entertained during your stay.

This is our second stay at Central Perk and we would do it again. Rating is 4.5/5 stars. There are a few items that need to be replaced like the outdoor grill and it is likely time for a power wash, blow off debris, etc. a little refresh is all. Thanks!

Beautiful Home, Remote Location

The house was ideal for our family Christmas gathering! Extremely comfortable, very well appointed with well supplied kitchen. We regretted not being allowed to use the fireplace and were surprised how remote the location was. Over the river, thru the woods and down a half dozen county roads!

Luxury on the Lake

This house is beautifully done with a spectacular water view. The kitchen has everything you need, the screened porch was wonderful and relaxing and all bedrooms and living areas were nicely furnished and decorated. It's great for a family gathering or when you just want to unplug completely. We ventured out and rented a boat nearby and spent one day just enjoying the lake. The one thing you need to know is this house is quite far from everything and the roads to get there are not paved with deep holes. Gather your supplies in advance and plan to stay put and just enjoy the lake!

An Unforgettable Family Getaway at Smith Lake

Our recent stay at this lake house on Smith Lake was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. The house was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family getaway. The clear, sparkling waters of the lake were incredible. We spent hours paddle boarding, swimming, and lounging on the Lillypad, which quickly became the kids’ favorite spot! We also rented a boat for the day, giving us the chance to explore the lake, fish, and enjoy the scenic views from every angle. Evenings were just as special, filled with family game nights and unwinding on the porch, watching the sunset over the water. The atmosphere was so peaceful—exactly what we needed to recharge. This trip was the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Whether on the lake or gathered around the living room, we made memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect and reconnect with your loved ones, I highly recommend staying here! We can’t wait to return!

Labor Day weekend

Just wanted to note a few items about our stay. We brought food to grilled for the entire stay and found out the grill was not operational the entire bottom was rusted out and laying on the bottom of the grill body. Not sure why someone hadn't walked the property and check out everything because by the look of it and that it had never been cleaned it should have been corrected ahead of time. I had to travel 40 minutes to Walmart and pick up a grill to cook. It you are older please do not walk down the railroad ties on the side of the house. They are very slippery and we have 2 people fall and they are in their 30's. They are lucky they didn't get hurt and in one of the bathrooms the trash was not taking out and it was full of women's sanitary products with was somewhat gross not knowing how long they had been there.

Disappointed

This property should require a more complete location description including the almost 2 mile pot hole-filled, dusty gravel road leading to the house. The house was furnished well, comfortable and overall clean, except for inside the microwave. The dishwasher did not function properly at first so we hand-washed dishes for the first couple of days, but property mgmt came out and fixed the problem. The house had nice TVs on each of the 3 levels, but we could only figure out how to use 1 (main level). We had planned on having 6 adults in our party but fortunately, it was only my wife and I along with our 2 dogs. Guests should be notified that there are no decent grocery stores or restaurants convenient to this location! As a result, we had to drive to Cullman (50 mile round trip) to acquire groceries for the week stay. In conclusion, the house is nice but there has to be more accurate disclosure about location and amenities. As a result, we left on the 4th day of our 7 day reservation.

Worst Property Manager and Property Owner I've Ever Experienced

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was nice, clean, not too many steps from lake so that was fine. We booked through VRBO, not Smith Lake Rentals, which is important in this review. On our last night, our dog begins barking and we find a snakeskin - half on the coffee bar and half on the floor. Because we had used the coffee bar 10-15 minutes prior to this, we knew that it wasn't there previously. Our dog continues barking and we begin trying to locate the snake. Meanwhile, my family is melting down and the decision is made to leave because we can't locate the snake and no one felt safe going to sleep in the house. We immediately sent a message to VRBO and the property managers THROUGH VRBO as directed on the booking instructions. I asked for one night to be reimbursed since we felt like we couldn't stay. Part of the family lives in Savannah, GA so leaving early created quite a hardship. When the property manager, Benjamin from Smith Lake Rentals, called back the following day, he stated that there was an emergency number on the refrigerator to call, and because we didn't call, he doesn't have to refund the night. Further, he stated that he called the property owner and the snakeskin was "decoration" and must have "blown down from an upper shelf" and had a great laugh with Benjamin. At that point, I am getting angry because of the ludicrous excuses so Benjamin hangs up on me. When I call back to voice how truly unprofessional this man is, he begins insulting me and states "I ASSUME you are a man so you should have been able to deal with this" and hangs up on me again. Must be nice to be able to talk to customers like that and still have a job. Apparently, the property owners also feel that they don't need to be courteous or respectful either. Don't spend your money on this property or with Smith Lake Rentals - they clearly couldn't care less.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love staying here! We've stayed twice now. It is so nice! The house is always clean and inviting, perfect for a large group or multiple families. There is plenty of space and great areas to hang out as a group. We love this part of the lake, too. The decor is so cute, kitchenware/pots/pans are great, plenty of towels and dinnerware, and the views are lovely. We love the fire pit area and the two balconies. Lots of steps to get down to the dock, but there's areas to stop off at on the way down if you need a break. There's enough room between the houses/docks that you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor. We can't wait to come back!
