Perfect for our family

This was our second stay in this Rockport neighborhood (different property each time) and it did not disappoint! Property as describe, very nice and clean. Super clean and quiet area, well kept community and pool, short drive to Rockport/Fulton and Aransas Pass. We hope to be back!

Not walking distance to the beach

I am aware of the implications of a negative review and was hesitant at first. The house is fine but we booked it solely based on the description that stated the property was a 15 minute walk to the beach. That is a lie; it is a 2 hour and 11 minute walk to the beach. We packed accordingly which meant a specific stroller-wagon to schlep all of our stuff the the beach. I literally got a brand new car the day before our trip and promised my husband we would be able to walk to the beach and keep the car sand free based on the description which clearly stated was a 15-minute walk to Rockport Beach Park. When I reached out to the property manager she replied that Rockport Beach Park was definitely not walking distance from the property and I included screenshots of her listing that clearly stated otherwise. She clearly didn’t understand or realize the situation because she doubled down and reiterated it wasn’t walking distance and instead said I could park on the beach. My entire plan in renting this home was to be able to walk to the beach with the giant stroller wagon I packed just for this situation and never have to take the car. Instead I have a brand new car full of sand and will have to pay hundreds of dollars to have it detailed. I have screenshots of the listing saying the home is a 16 minute walk to Rockport Beach Park which is why we chose to book this home and I also have screenshots of the property manager saying the home is absolutely not walking distance at all.

Fun weekend

The rental was very nice and we all had a good time. Our only issue was ants. They were in all rooms as well as the pantry. We sprayed and the manager offered to send an exterminator. With this fixed, we would recommend.

Great property

The property and area was amazing. The only problem we had was that there were sugar ants throughout the house. I messaged the property manager and she advised they would send someone to put medicine out but not sure if they did because we left for the day. We still saw ants everywhere. If it wasn’t for the small ants this property would’ve been perfect. I still gave it the highest marks because it is so nice.

Very comfortable house with all new furnishings

We came for our granddaughters softball tournament in Portland. The location and area of this house was perfect. Could get to Rockport beach very easy and the trip over to Port Aransas was very quick even with the ferry ride. Good food in all of the surroundings towns. This house was very nice. We would go back in a minute.

Rockport Beach House

Even though VRBO shows the address as being on Great Barrier, and sends that as the destination address, this is not correct. The correct address is on Paradise Drive. We unloaded at Great Barrier, couldn’t get in, and after several communications with the property contact, found out we were in the wrong place. Had to load back up and then unload everything again at the correct place. Other than that, everything else was perfect. The house was very nice and clean, beds are very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is in a very nice and new neighborhood and our boys enjoyed having the option of the swimming pool in addition to being close to Rockport Beach.
