Octopus's Garden: Large Private Pool & Hot Tub, Walk to Beach

If your family would like to be near the sea, then an Octopus's Garden offers both shaded decks and plenty of sunshine around the private pool to enjoy a beach vacation! [Note: no dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

Beds: 3 Queen Masters, 2 Bunk Bed Sets, 1 Sleep Sofa (Queen); 12 Towel Sets provided

MID LEVEL:
The traditional floor plan offers the main living space with a vaulted ceiling above the Great Room to give an open and airy feeling. The living area has a large flat-screen TV and a dining table that seats 8. The fully stocked kitchen offers a kitchen island that will seat 4 more guests. Access to the back covered deck overlooks the pool area below and has more deck furniture to sit and relax outside in the shade. A Queen Jr. Master Suite has a semi-private bath (shower/tub combo) and access to a private deck that faces the front of the house. The laundry area is located by the back deck door. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

TOP LEVEL:
Stairs to the top level will lead to a small sitting area and access to the sun deck outside at the back of the house. There are 3 other bedrooms on this floor: a Queen Jr. Master Suite has semi-private bath (shower/tub combo) that is shared with a bedroom that has 2 Bunk Bunk Sets. There is also a Queen Master Suite which has a shower/jetted tub combo in its master bath.

GROUND LEVEL:
Besides the Pool Table, the game area has a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge and a small table to sit and enjoy snacks and beverages. There is a full hall bathroom and the couch is a sleep sofa (Queen) if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. Outside the sliding doors is the hot tub and the large private pool (14' x 28'; open mid-May to mid-October) which offers plenty of room for sunbathing or using a pool float to cool-off in the water while still “catching some rays”. There is a park-style charcoal grill available.

EXTRAS:
​​​​​​​The beach access for this Ocean Sands neighborhood is 1550 feet away and for tennis/pickleball fans, there are free community courts available.

We really enjoyed staying at this home. It had everything we needed or wanted for a fun beach trip. Our favorite features were the pool, hot tub, pool table and having access to the tennis courts was an extra bonus. They had tons of board games in the house which came in handy on rainy evenings. The walk to the beach isn't bad either. The location of this house was great because it was close to Food Lion which we shopped at regularly on our trip. We will stay here again!

The home had everything we could possibly need. Very comfortable, plenty of room and the kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed. Having the pool in the back yard was such a great advantage. The grown-ups enjoyed the hot tub and we all had a blast in the pool. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and four bathrooms was a big plus. We would definitely go back.

I have wanted to come to the outer banks for years! This year our family was able to all be together! Everyone loved the house and all that the area had to offer! It was close to the beach, stores, food, and recreational activities! We would be thrilled to come back again.!

Property was exactly as advertised. It fit the 8 of us perfectly. The pool area was such fun, with our beach carts the walk to the beach wasn’t bad. Next time we book in OBX we will rent Octopus Garden.

This is a beautiful home, with a large pool. Very nice Hot tub and comfortable sleeping. Small walking distance to beach access. Kitchen is well stocked and pool table and game closet a nice added bonus. This was to be a non pet house, but it was obvious that there was white dog hair on the rugs, so I don't know if there is a way to see if renters are complying with this rule.

The house was perfect for our annual "Cousins Camp." Pool, Jacuzzi, pool table & board games kept the kids busy ranging from 10-17 years old. It was walking distance to 2 shopping areas, 1.1 mile to Harris Teeter & 1.3 to Food Lion. Within driving distance to Light houses & the Wright Brothers Memorial.
