  • Welcome to Memories, a beautifully designed newer vacation home in Swan Beach on the 4x4 beaches of Carova Beach, Northern Outer Banks, North Carolina. This 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath beach house sleeps 9 across 2,430 sq ft and sits just 400 feet from the ocean as the crow flies — with only one row of homes between you and the Atlantic, delivering fantastic panoramic ocean views from the upper level. A brand new private pool and hot tub make this one of the most exciting new listings on the Northern OBX. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is required; the property sits approximately 3 miles up the 4x4 beach — one of the closest 4x4 properties to the hard road.
    Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements
    Four bedrooms sleep 9 guests across two levels. The third level features a king bedroom with private en-suite bath. The second level offers an additional king bedroom with en-suite bath, a queen bedroom with ensuite bath, and a duo-bunk room with double bottom bunk and twin top (bath in the hall). A central living space connects the second-level bedrooms.
    New Private Pool & Hot Tub
    The brand new private pool and hot tub are ready for the 2026 season, making Memories one of the newest and most updated vacation rentals in Swan Beach. Beach access is just a 300-foot walk over the dune — or drive your 4x4 directly to the beach and park for the day.
    Views & Wildlife
    With only one row of homes between Memories and the Atlantic, the ocean views from the main living level are spectacular. Carova Beach is home to wild horses, fox, deer, and rabbits on land, while brown pelicans, sea hawks, terns, sandpipers, and gulls enchant from the shore. Whales and porpoises have even been spotted from the beach.

Amazing stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and so close to the beach access. Well stocked with kitchen supplies. Plenty of wild horses to see every day all around the house. The pool and hot tub were great after a long day on the beach. The house did not come with a toaster and the grill was unusable but the property manager saw to it that we had both things we needed fast. The house was very clean upon check in. The only complaint we had was the hardness and smell/taste of the water. We had multiple articles of clothing that were stained orange after washing them in the washer. The beds were comfortable in every room. Overall an amazing stay!
