Tucked just alongside its sister villa, Valtes Blue, yet enjoying its own space and tranquillity, Valtes Green rests on the same elevated hillside, gazing out across a shimmering sweep of the Ionian Sea. From this peaceful perch, the blues and greens of Corfu’s southern coastline blend together in a picture-perfect panorama, best admired from the edge of your own private infinity pool.
Inside, the villa’s layout is airy and inviting. The ground floor is home to a bright open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, where expansive glass draws the seascape directly into the room. Two bedrooms, a double and a twin (with beds that can be joined to form a double if preferred), both with en suite shower rooms, each open onto the pool terrace, making it wonderfully easy to step straight into the morning sunshine. Upstairs, beneath a gently sloping ceiling, a further double bedroom with en-suite offers a quiet, restful escape.

Outside, the terrace takes centre stage. Sun loungers are positioned to soak up the views, while your own private infinity swimming pool appears to pour into the sea below. An outdoor dining area and portable barbecue make al-fresco meals feel effortless. From sunrise coffees to sunset cocktails, this is a villa designed for slow, scenic living.

Just down the hill, reached on foot via a steep descent or in minutes by car, lies the charming waterfront settlement of Boukari. Known for its tranquillity, Boukari’s waters are famously calm and impossibly clear, ideal for gentle swims or simply dipping your toes from the pebbled shore. The little harbour sends small fishing boats out at dawn, and by lunchtime their catch appears at the cluster of traditional tavernas lining the water’s edge. Boukari is one of the best places on the island for freshly grilled fish, served with nothing more than a squeeze of lemon, warm hospitality and the soothing soundtrack of lapping waves.

A little further along the coast, Messonghi (5km) offers a welcome change of pace. This relaxed resort has a sandy beach, family-run bakeries, supermarkets, water sports and a generous choice of tavernas, ideal for days when you want a gentle wander, an ice cream by the shore or an easy evening meal overlooking the sea. Messonghi also connects well to various boat trips exploring the eastern coastline.

Beyond the immediate area, Valtes Green is also perfectly placed for discovering more of Corfu’s diverse attractions. Corfu Town (30km) for a day out is a must-see. Lose yourself in its Venetian alleyways, climb the old fortress walls, browse boutiques or simply sit beneath the arches of the Liston with a cool drink and watch the world go by, or visit the Achilleion Palace (16km), the grand former retreat of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, with landscaped gardens and magnificent views across the island.

Aqualand (30km), one of Europe’s largest waterparks, offers a brilliant family day out with slides, lazy rivers and shaded relaxation areas.

For beach lovers Issos (10km) and Halikounas (16km), offer vast stretches of sand backed by dunes and the Korission Lake nature reserve, perfect for long walks, kite-surfing or simply enjoying their wild, unspoilt beauty.

The twin bedroom can also be prepared as a double, please advise at time of booking. The lane leading to/from the nearby tavernas does not have a footpath. The property driveway, while wide and paved, is also sharply inclined. Being located next door to Valtes Blue means Valtes Green could be a good choice for an extended family or a group of friends who can be near to each other whilst retaining their own individual space and privacy. Verde Azur is located below Valtes Blue and Valtes Green as a further option for larger groups seeking three villas all close by.
