The house is well-equipped, with many amusing knickknacks and decorations. (If you prefer spare, industrial spaces, this will not be the right choice for you.)We found both good points and bad:The good: The house is situated in a calm and quiet, if not particularly attractive, neighborhood, with adequate parking, at least during the low tourist season, when we visited. The house has open porch areas, front and back, where one can relax and take the sun. We didn't do any cooking, except to prepare breakfast, but the kitchen is certainly adequate for meal preparation. The house is just five minutes walk from the little ferry landing to take the boat across to the old city. All in all, a good location from which to visit Concarneau. The bad: The house was mostly clean when we arrived, but the bathtub and ground-floor toilet were not at all adequately cleaned. The bathtub, moreover, is very awkwardly designed, with a poorly balanced step to get in and out. Older persons will find it quiet inconvenient and requiring caution. That, and indeed the house as a whole, are unsuitable for persons who have even relatively minor mobility issues. The garden and lawn were untended and overgrown. Not so nice. There are few amenities in the neighborhood, so you must take some care to plan meals and shopping.
