« Lovely heritage cottage and equally lovely host. Quiet and relaxing place to stay for our long weekend away. The town is long past its boom days but retains a lot of its charm regardless as well as its recognition of its gold mining history and its focus on being a "Book Town", including a Booktown festival in March. The pub does a very enjoyable meal and a good coffee at one of the cafes and quality pie at the bakery is readily available. Easy drive to bigger centres and other small towns. »

« It looks like the host lives in the house every day, other than when she has a booking. Her personal stuff and clutter is everywhere in the house. Sofas in lounge was covered with stuff, like a dinner tray left out, clothing, bags of old stuff. Clothing A-frame was in the house. Sheets on the washing line outside. Stained rugs. Vomit patch. Personal phone numbers stuck onto kitchen wall, eg Service Australia, disputes centre, aged care help. Personal family photos all over the place including...
