True Roadside Americana - The nut in Ashburn, ten feet in height, atop a fifteen foot high cylindrical brick structure and surrounded by a huge crown proclaiming, "Georgia 1st in Peanuts." This lofty legume was erected in 1975. and worth the #TroverDetour for an iconic photo or a selfie with the nut in the background. You can see it from the highway making it a must see on your next #roadtrip through the area. Located half a mile south of Exit 28 beside the southbound lanes of I-75. To visit, take Exit 28, then drive west and turn left on the first road and left at the service road to the peanut. Appropriately enough, Ashburn also has the world's largest peanut shelling plant. #TroverDetour
