Yesterday on our #roadtrip, we stopped on the Talgarno Road near Granya to look at the vista of Lake Hume. I love the trees, colours and especially the parallel tidal lines. Lake Hume was formed by damming the Murray River and catches water from the Murray and Mitta Mitta River. #Victoria #Australia #Iloveasunburntcountry
Lake Banimboola is the regulating pondage on the Mitta Mitta River downstream of the #DartmouthDam. A power station has been built here for EcoGeneration. I like the calmness of the water before it surges through the Banimboola Dam and cloud display in the azure sky! #peace #relaxationimagery #IloveaSunburntCountry Easter #roadtrip
It was quite a #roadtrip to the #DartmouthDam with Ian driving and Mother and I taking in the sights. We tripped along the Mitta Mitta Valley from our base point at #LakeHumeVillage, up towards the high country in Victoria. The Dartmouth Dam captures the flow of the Mitta Mitta River, for irrigation and hydroelectricity, and holds the equivalent water capacity of 7 Sydney Harbours!
What an amazing location, on the main highway, it has great facilities for a picnic, a great viewing platform and amazing views of the Valley towards NSW and in winter it has the snow capped mountains of the snowy mountains as a back drop, it is really hard not to take an amazing capture here
