« A nice family on-the-road stop. Highlights: easy access, quiet through the night, comfortable bed. Lowlights: 2 minute noodles were in the kettle from the last client, and the adjoining brick wall had about 4 or 5 finger-sized holes drilled into the brickwork, which were really a bit odd/creepy. We blocked them up with paper in case they were cameras? More likely just nail holes for artwork, although a bit low for that… but surely there’s a reasonable explanation. Other than that, would book...

« We had a great room that was spacious with everything that we needed, it was clean and conveniently located near the township. Checking in was very easy and professional. »

« Room was clean and well maintained. Outside noise was a bit much due to road construction. Hot water was inconsistent for the shower. Otherwise I had a comfortable stay. »

« The Tar Tan motel is clearly old stock. 1950s or 60s. Under current management the buildings and facilities have been given a clean freshen up but are still what they are. The bathroom for example is primitive. We enjoyed it though. It was clean warm and functional. The price is difficult to reconcile with our next stay in Ngambie which was modern and luxurious. »

« I picked up the room key about 17.30 but did not move into the room until about 21.00 by which time reception was closed. On a cold wet, night I could not get the heater to work and the TV I could not get commercial channels. Otherwise everything was ok. »
