The 22’ tall, 8,000 lb. stainless steel-covered sculpture located at the headwaters of the cascading weirs is the centrepiece of the former industrial raceway that was transformed into a major water feature when Robert C. « Host was very responsive prior to arrival. They also responded immediately to a request for additional cooking items that were needed. The apartment was wonderful for our group of seven adults. Beds and pillows were very comfortable; heat was fine (we had heard it was cold but there was a controllable thermostat and we were comfortable in cold rainy November weather). « The apartment itself is nice and is as advertised. However, it smelled of pot and cigarette smoke when you walk into the shared entryway. The street parking seemed questionable. I actually dreamt my car was broken into and then stolen. The shared entryway should have a code on the door. With the area mildly questionable about safety it would feel more reassuring knowing both doors were secure instead of just the one. « Visited South Bend for the ND vs Navy game. Great spot, very convenient to the University. Quiet tree lined street. Parking not an issue. The basement apartment has its own entrance around the back of the house and felt very safe. Great outdoor lighting at night. The apartment is very spacious and cool decor. Host had water, fizzy flavored waters, fresh fruit, coffee and candies for me. Excellent instructions for the TV and heating/AC system. Bathroom super clean and modern with multiple options...

« The space was smaller than a van for a two bedroom to adult rental. The neighborhood was borderline sketch. I unlocked the door close the door and rented a hotel room. It is a Multi- unit facility and I would be surprised if it passed Code. Another party unrelated to us arrived when we were departing and we told him there was availability in South Bend for a hotel. This should be listed as a hostel were first step after rehab. »
