Adventure to me is getting to experience the incredible places that not many get to see and the journey it takes to get there. The things you learn along the way, the people you meet and the feeling of accomplishment when you reach your goal. A brutal climb at elevation, in rugged terrain, hot sun, wind gusts, rain, snow, curious bears, and pushing through the pain are all worth in the end when you see that view. These experiences make you truly grateful for the small things in life we take for granted every day such as a bed, running water, a toilet, and good quality toilet paper. My time spent in the mountains has taught me many things. To get comfortable being uncomfortable, never use bear spray down wind from a bear, be bold start cold (from a friend) and dont eat dehydrated beef stroganoff to name just a few. Each adventure teaches something new. This picture was taken 8:23pm descending from the summit of Granite Peak, the highest peak in Montana. We would have probably never seen this view if we had stuck to the original plan. We ended up hiking over 20 hours straight and encountered a bear in the middle of the night on the route back to camp. Not ideal! However, I learned to stick to the original plan and never underestimate how bad your lungs will burn and how slow you walk when you go from 1100 ft. to over 12,000 ft. in less than 48 hours, but another adventure is in the books. Climbing mountains can be absolutely torture on your mind and body and at the same time can be so rewarding. I find in the end I always want to go back for more. #adventure

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunny Slope Lodge. The house was exactly as advertised and very convenient to Yellowstone Park. Lisa was extremely helpful and flexible as we had some logistical problems with our aFlights into Bozeman. She also gave us excellent suggestions for what to see in the park and for getting around the area. The 5 mile drive up to the house certainly felt like 5 miles but upon arrival you are awed by the view. Thank you Lisa for allowing us to enjoy a fun family...

« Loved this condo. We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Yellowstone. Great location overlooking the Yellowstone River where we got to watch the rafters come down the river every day. Everything was new and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Could use a grab bar in the shower and a few hooks in the bathroom to hang a robe or clothing. « Our party of 7 siblings and spouses absolutely loved staying here. The house and views were magnificent. The house was so well appointed and stocked with so many essentials. We had never experienced that in our many other stays. The house was in good proximity to Yellowstone which made accessing the park very easy. Suzette was very easy to communicate with and gave us a great tip for bear watching about 2 miles from the house which we did on 2 different nights. I can’t race enough about this...

"Hôtel vraiment bien. Personnel au petit soin. Bouteilles d’eau « Yellowstone » en aluminium offerte à l’arrivée. Jumelles et bâton de marche à disposition dans la chambre, qui est très bien équipée. Très proche de l’entrée nord du parc. Seuls points noirs : le wifi fonctionnait mal et même pas du tout le dernier soir, ce qui nous a vraiment posé problème. Pas de petit déjeuner proposé, mais café à disposition dans la chambre et à la réception."
