The double booking issue apparently arose from them advertising on multiple systems and not picking up a clash that was there for almost two months... »

« Location was great.There was a problem with an air conditioner which was promptly handled by the host.My rating of good overall was because the shower floor was a little slippery. I needed to be careful. The cottage was clean and well kept. »

« Goldfield Retreat was extremely comfotable, spacious and well appointed. Just a stones throw from the centre of town it was very convenient, no car required to shops or amenities. The beautiful garden made the house feel even more homely. Castlemaine is a really pretty town, we loved our time there. »

« There are 3 bedrooms but only the main bedroom has AC. There other 2 bedrooms only have ceilings fan. The 3 bedrooms on the top level can get quite hot because of low ceiling height. That means the ceiling fan is reachable with your hand for a tall person. The owner should fix the lock on the front security and front doors. »

As soon as we pulled up we could see the calibre of the care and attention the house received . The relocation still paid respect to the traditional house in a seamless way . It was such luxury , particularly with the back patio area with enclosed kitchen , and the bathrooms and kitchen area . The lounferoom also provided a quiet place to relax with potentially the open fire...
