« Owner was easy to get ahold of. Great location. Would rent here again. »

« Great spot. The only drawback was that the edges of the carpet in living room are very slippery. But that’s as easy fix. Good place, good hosts. Would stay again »

« Fully stocked and clean..away from city noise but proximity to restaurants, grocery, within 5miles. Peaceful setting and if you like wild life the deer are plentiful. We loved seeing the horses everyday!! We would highly recommend staying here. »

« Dog friendly, fenced yard. Nature lovers paradise. Darling property a stone’s throw from downtown Blacksburg and VT. No a/c meant windows open and the neighborhood noise was significant. Made it a bit hard to sleep. No TV. Parrots/fish on property / parrots are also loud. Owner warned us and offered to take them but I wasn’t clear about the situation, so I didn’t ask them to take them. My fault. 3 bedroom with interesting decor. »

« The house was extremely impressive. Clean, comfortable, has everything you need and the modern finishes make this a cozy stay. The deck is awesome and the grill is easy to use. Tucked away in the woods where i could get peace and quiet, yet only 10 mins from downtown blacksburg. »

« This house and property was so peaceful. The woods were fun to explore during the day, but at night- the fire pit, fireflies and hot tub were delightful! The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking PLUS the town’s restaurants and antique shopping made for the perfect vacation for all age groups. Very comfortable for 6-8 adults. Keep in mind, this is a 100 year old house meant for relaxing and enjoying the out-of-doors. No fancy extras, but comfy beds, very clean, and plenty of...

« Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back. »

« I visited in the fall with some college friends for a game weekend, and had an incredible stay! The house is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to campus and downtown. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Blacksburg for a weekend! »

« Perfect location! Love this property! »

« Tyler's weekend "wee" treat was an adorable little tiny house that was the perfect stay for a few nights. The tiny house looked exactly like the photos, and was on a very quiet dead-end road. It was a beautiful drive to get here! Since I was in the area for work, a basic kitchen and solid Wi-Fi were must-haves, and the tiny house did not disappoint. I was by myself, but you could comfortably fit two people. I'll be looking forward to staying here again the next time I'm in town! »
