« Outside, this place is amazing!! The grounds are gorgeous, however, it could have used a little TLC. The bank to the river is a complete drop off requiring at least 2 people in order to haul the other out. Because of the narrowness in the river, it’s flowing like rapids and it’s deep. There has been a lot of rain recently, so maybe it’s not like that all the time, but I wouldn’t take the chance of allowing little kids to get in and get swept away. The plants are very grown around that area...

« The place was adorable and the beds were comfortable. Our families were comfortable with the setup and space. We didn’t expect pristine since this was a country setting and expected bugs, spiders and such. Having said, there were some simple things that would have made it better. There were blood stains on the queen room sheets we discovered on the first night. There was lots of burnt out light bulbs and bug, dust spider web accumulated in light fixtures which made it feel not very clean. ...

« The Washington House in Brenham was superb—spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The rooms had everything we needed, offering both privacy and great spaces to gather, and the pool table was a big hit. The s’mores welcome gift was such a thoughtful touch. A special thank you to Christa and Corrin for being wonderful hostesses and accommodating our early arrival. Highly recommend for a family stay!.
