« Communication with host before arrival was great, very quick to respond. Upon arrival the we noticed the neighborhood was very run down, with boarded windows on multiple houses. The inside of the house was fairly clean in appearance, but there were gnats and a mildew smell. After a few hours we knew we could not stay the weekend there, and found another place that day. « The pictures shown in the photos did not match what was inside of the house. At all. In fact, there wasn’t even a couch to sit on. No comfortable seating anywhere. If I wanted to stretch out, I had to lie on the bed. There was an outdoor wicker set for the living room furniture and the “couch” didn’t even have a cushion on it. Just bare wicker. The water was full of iron and had a strong, metallic smell to it, making showers very unpleasant. There was orangish red stains on all of the faucets...

« Wow, just wow! An amazing fall weekend staying in this beautiful home, one which exceeded our expectations! It was clean and well-appointed and truly made us feel as if we were "home away from home". The neighborhood was quaint and within walking distance to a park, a train depot, restaurants, coffee shops, a yummy candy shop, and the lake. The Host responded to my questions in a timely manner as was warm and inviting. We will definitely look to stay in this home on future visits to Vermilion! »
